The Prime Minister of the UK, the leader of the opposition, BBC, Sky, right wing groups all in bed together appearing to supporting hooligans.
They want to allow Maccabi Tel Aviv fans go to Villa Park  , anyone that knows anything about football hooligans and Maccabi will know why the ban (that some are hoping to have over turned) was put in place its because of their hooligan following.
I was dismayed at the reporting that went on after they played Ajax out in Amsterdam, the train station (no schools chant), the taxi driver, houses and property, the Spanish floods silence and after that some 'locals' defended their turf and you had Sky and BBC, particularly Sky saying antisemitic attacks in Amsterdam blah blah blah - shocking reporting and it must have been because people pulling the strings had things in common with the Maccabi fans, the Mayor if I recall (can't be arsed to check), don't know if he was wrongly advised or also had things I common with Maccabi seemed to be backing the initial news reports.
Due to mobile phones, witnesses reports of people on the ground it emerged that the reporting was totally wrong and Maccabi supporters weren't the victims but the perpetrators, why did the likes of Sky not apologise, why weren't their employees disciplined.
We've got Labour, Conservative and right wing groups (who ironically want to stop immigrants but want these people in the country) all together, at least lots of posts on social media are pointing out its not Jewish people banned, its not Israelis per se banned its Maccabi Tel Aviv fans for football hooliganism. |  |

What if Starmer, Badenoch, right wing groups have their way, and Maccabi arrive at New Street station chant their song about dead child and their rape song, then attack Arab tax drivers, then attack properties for having a Palestinian flag then boo some of their own players when they touch the ball for being a different creed/religion and see what is said by the politicians and media after, there again locals might defend their turf after the game like in Amsterdam and the press and politicians ŵill say Brummies are antisemitic, its a game with them mun. This decision has been made by the local council purely because the Maccabi fans are Jewish and the local area of Aston is made up of 90% “black and minority ethnic (BAME)” people, mostly of Pakistani origin. How 90% of people can be described as minority is beyond me but that’s a discussion for another day.
It’s a tinderbox situation because of the demographics of the local area, they are correct to have concerns but you can’t ban people from a football match simply because they are Jewish. It stinks. |  |

You cannot seriously suggest that any club is 100% made up of ultras and hooligans and should be banned. It's a clear case of cowardice in bending to the demands and sensitivities of a certain demographic who are shamed by nothing in their own creed and yet loudly offended by everything else.

I've quoted the threat to Maccabi fans from one member of the local population, if the mayor says it's to protect Maccabi fans then I think that's the case as he's involved in the decision making. If people are stirring up hatred by saying show the Maccabi fans no mercy then I tend to believe him. | |

Maccabi are no angels of course but you wouldn't expect any team to just take the intimidation and violence aimed at them and not respond or defend themselves.
