It’s definitely football related if local authorities are banning football fans from attending games for political (and racist) reasons.

They are notorious football hooligans, English teams and fans have been banned so why can't an Israeli teams fans be banned for the same reason.

This ^ they are hooligans and there will be protests so it wont end well What p!sses me off is the wet politicians who fawn over israel. They should be backing the police not undermining them. They wont be under attack from both sides. Well done to the police 👏 As ive said, this should be moved to the non football because ultimately its about bloody politics. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The reason is they are so deep in backing Israel and the genocide/war crimes that has gone on they now need to try and play it down by pointing to antisemitism as a justification for their support as history is not going to be overly favourable in time to Israel.

Cannot be any worse than English fans surely, as for the games i have attended involving Israeli there fans have been well behaved, even in Amsterdam the Jury is still out on just who instigated all that i would also imagine it is not the Israeli's the police are worried about kicking off it is the vast number of Muslims in the Birmingham area that they are worried about. I’ve not seen any reports that they have been banned for hooligans reasons. I’m aware of the instances in Amsterdam, but I’m pretty sure these aren’t being cited as the reason for such a ban.

I think they are, when one of their own players that might be brown or Arab or Muslim get the ball the booing has been horrific.

Villa will ban Birmingham fans next time they play? They are banned because they support a team from Israel & the MP for that area is pro Palestine. Let’s cut the bullshite.

So would Millwall fans be banned from going to Birmingham?

Not sure about that. English Hoolies have a bit more of a reputation than Israeli ones. Even the Guardian reported that most issues with Maccabi fans in Amsterdam came from them being targeted. Bottom line is that this ban would not be happening if Villa weren't playing an Israeli side and the local plod weren't terrified of the prospect of dealing with half of their local population wanting blood.

First time I’ve heard a one off incident has been taken so seriously. There’s loads every time the championship league is played. Nobody banned yet. I’m assuming without full confirmation otherwise this has a lot more to do with politics than football. In fact anyone who believes it’s about their behaviour in Amsterdam alone is nuts. I can understand the authorities banning them because of the amount of disorder which would take place from a community perspective. Fear of severe injury or loss of life outside of the ground. But of course that’s not football related. That’s a social concern brought about by the local politician, weekend warriors and purveyors of BS regardless of the side they are on. Again not football related. As they can’t blame football then some would say it’s an anti semetic ban, others then will use the genocide card which confirms all along it’s nothing to do with football on both fronts. You see it’s nothing to do with football. And the fact responses on here bar the one off scrap in Amsterdam prove it. This goes deeper, so let’s not pretend it doesn’t. And it isn’t footballs problem.
