Saturday night I got an Uber from Totton, made one stop near Winchester Road on the way to a party at Southampton Muni golf club. It was no more than 7 miles. Same journey back at 11.30

Only just started using Uber, are you saying if you don’t tip then you get lower ratings?? Then what happens, drivers won’t accept the ride when you need to go somewhere?? All new to me at the moment as I have just given up driving because my eyesight isn’t what it was and I have no intention of carrying on and potentially injuring someone or worse! |  |

If you tip your rating will be higher if you have a higher rating you get Uber quicker and cheaper

Don't know if you use it already or not but i only book train tickets through ticket spitting sites like this these days https://splitticketing.com/
Also you need to get a network rail card too, or if there's three or more of you book group save.
Alternatively make friends with Wints and travel with him, you get silver service in first class if you do that  |  | | |
