Had Solak been more decisive, maybe we could have appointed Lampard then but it took 4 more games and 3 more defeats (two conceding 5) before he decided to act.
I guess we would have moaned about a Lampard appointment at that time and maybe he would have done no better than Juric last season.
But since his appointment, Coventry have won 23 games and we've won 3.

I would have been really happy if they had appointed Lampard. He did a decent job at Chelsea. Pl experience as a manager and player. Big name, full of enthusiasm and energy, a person the players clearly respect at Coventry because he was great player and he has managed the world's best players at Chelsea. But we wouldn't ever appoint such a manager. Spot Republic want yes men, who will accept all their money making ways. | |

And Cov sacked a really good manager (Robins) to bring him in.

I said at the time he’d have been a good appointment for Saints. Despite him having won everything as a player, he is incredibly humble, a rarity in the modern game. He did a fantastic job in his first year at Everton in uniting the fan base, the players and the club. In the end all of the shenanigans behind the scenes which were unprecedented (and this is before the points deductions) were to much for him and and young manager to be fair and the club had no choice but to sound the Dyche Klaxon.
He doesn’t bullshit or talk shite language that confuses the fans (well me anyway). I think he will go onto be a good manager. | | | |
