When fans have just had enough of idiot owners 01:25 - Oct 23 with 1343 viewsLondonSaint76

The SR clowns should take note - this is what happens when the idiot owners of a club push the fans too far...

Just watched the Football League highlights and was shocked to see the swathes of empty seats at Hillsborough tonight (see link to highlights below).

The unacceptable way the prat the owns SW has been running the club are well documented but it appears enough is enough for most who voted with their feet earlier this evening. As I have said, SR muppets take note!

As an aside - recognise the Sheff Wed keeper?

Poll: How will we get on against Leicester City?

I doubt that Sports Republic will be that concerned this season given the number of season tickets already sold.

However, a mid table or relegation finish and attendance will drop like a stone for the next.

Even then I doubt they will be worried given that they are currently hell bent on running a player trading business rather than a football club.

Wouldn’t do their takings from the St Mary’s fun fair much good though.

Good display from Lumley. We let him go and replace him with Ward from Norwich, why exactly ?

Would never happen at St Mary’s Stadium.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Poll: What will it take for fans to show any anger at the state of our club?

I can’t view the video but did they show the foul that Lumley made on Tommy Conway? It was the most obvious penalty I’ve ever seen and the ref didn’t give it. He did make some great saves after that though. He was living a charmed life.

You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into.

He's gone.

A familiar tale of money frittered away by poor recruitment:

"In January 2015, a consortium led by Chansiri acquired a 100% stake in EFL Championship side Sheffield Wednesday from Milan Mandarić for £37.5m and targeted promotion to the Premier League by 2017. During his first transfer window he brought in Sergiu Buș, Marnick Vermijl, Filipe Melo on deadline day, as well as loans for Will Keane and Lewis McGugan.

During early 2015, Chansiri changed many aspects of the Sheffield Wednesday set-up. He brought in a new transfer committee of manager Stuart Gray, Glenn Roeder and Adam Pearson. Adam Pearson left within a month to work for Leeds United. Gray left the committee at the end of the season, being replaced by new manager Carlos Carvalhal, whilst Roeder left by the end of 2015.

Chansiri invested heavily that first season, bringing in multiple signings including, Fernando Forestieri, Gary Hooper and Lucas João and the first full season saw Wednesday make the playoff final, eventually losing to Hull City 1–0 in the final.

The following season, the investment into the first team squad continued, with more big money signings Almen Abdi, Adam Reach and Jordan Rhodes all made. Wednesday again made the playoffs, but this time lost in the semi-final to Huddersfield Town.

In the 2017–18 season, the investment began to dry up."

Recruitment is so important nowadays. Our best spell in the Premier League was essentially the result of Paul Mitchell's recruitment.

Yes, they did show it, the commentators were surprised he got away with it too. He was only on a 7 day contract although they said it might be able to be extended - had he been sent off he’d could well have been out of contract by the time he’d served his suspension!

Maybe this alternative highlights link will work for you

Sheffield Wednesday Administrator gives first interview to Sky Sports (see link below) - refreshing to see a straight talking, no nonsense guy give proper answers to the questions asked. The points deduction aside, it sounds like a good day to be a Wednesday fan as they are at last rid of the idiot running the Club that has driven it into the ground. The fact that, this afternoon, they are letting the staff move the different coloured seats around in one of the stands to obliterate the spelling of Chansiri’s name did make me smile.

Yep, congratulations to SWFC who have got rid of their c@nt of an owner.

The administrators will choose the best owner, to pay off the debts etc and take them forward. Big club, who probably have exciting times ahead now, with the fans rallying around. We have been there when Marcus RIP took us over.
