Coventry currently on an average of 3 goals per game, which if they maintain that gives them 138 goals at the end of the season (if my shaky maths is correct). I suspect that won't happen, but what is the highest ever goals tally for a 46 game season and what is our highest? |  | | |  |

Well, it was before football was invented in 1992 but Peterborough United scored 134 goals in 1960/61. Their centre forward Terry Bly scored 52 of them.
Haven't checked but I suspect 1966/67 when we scored 103 is is our highest. [Post edited 23 Oct 9:19]

Just looked a bit more in depth at that season's results. At home we scored four goals three times, five once and six goals three times! 65 goals at home.
Away we scored four goals three times and five once.
We missed promotion by three points and there was a spell in January/February where we lost five out of six. Also at Easter only one point from four in two games against Bradford PA. The Easter home defeat against them the only defeat in the last sixteen. | |
