Lots of heroes today, but the simple difference in the match; they have Bamford we have Nahki.

Not at all

His positioning was first class today, and the vision for that first audacious lob was as good as anything a qpr player has shown for many years

However, his execution was less than b-class

He ain’t no world beater, but ee got lucky today, due to his rich poor form

From last Monday's 'The Game' podcast:

'Leeds have a 9.9% shot conversion rate, which is 16th in the Championship. They dominate every metric: possession, passing accuracy, even the number of shots they have, they just don't have anyone to stick the ball in the back of the net.'

Nketiah is a pure finisher but every time he played for them all those metrics nosedived.

That's because he had to play against Macca the hardest footballer who ever lived. Even scum fans were shocked how Dixon used hide from Macca during the match.

tbf i thought Leeds fans would dislike him, but the ones i speak to don't. They appreciate his all-round play and is key to how they play which, despite their poor run and below par performance yesterday, has taken them into the top 2 all season. He's got 10 this season, which isn't bad, but yesterday he really should've had a couple. No defending him there. And he dived. so fk him.

Bare bones.

Could'nt care less who his parent club is. He has many limitations, too many.......misses too many decent chances for my liking. Leeds, imho, would have won yesterday with a better striker than Bamford.

If they're going to rely on him for the rest of the season because he keeps their "metrics" high then they could easily blow this.

Patrick Bamford. Beautiful metrics.

Overheard a couple of what were presumably London based Leeds supporters on the way to the tube and one was saying to the other he’s not going to watch them again until they get a better striker, so I think they must be losing patience with him.

Strange player, every time I’ve seen him at various teams he has ability to lose defenders and present himself with one on one with keepers, very few capable of that, but his finishing let’s him down.

The player who’d suit their style of play would be Nahki Wells.

I've always thought that Bumford was overrated, however I prefer to give credit for yesterday's win to QPR players. In particular, Masterson and Kelly were very good indeed.

It means they immediately had less control of games and less chances to score.

the one he put over the bar he was so busy trying to claim the foul he lost concentration, he even asked for a free kick after the miss

I only watched the highlights and the Kelly interview but I would say there was definite contact on that penalty decision and once he got 1 on 1 it was inevitable.Kelly said he did not trip him and PB kicked him then fell but either way its seemed the correct call IMO.Lucliky the keepers had watched lots of film and Kelly bailed us out.
As for Bamford he is a very good player who either panics a bit or just too erratic when it falls to him but I would rate him .He rejected a call up to play for ROI according to reports but he would have really helped their cause .
