If Bale had been English he would be right up there with any of the English ‘greats’. Shearer and Rooney were pretty good in their hayday but they always had better support players around them. Sadly, many (especially Talksport types) will only remember the time Bale spent on the sidelines in Madrid & his World Cup efforts in Qatar. |  | | |
