Transfer Rumour Thread on 19:11 - Jun 7 with 3762 views | areasix | I have just seen that Spurs are letting Ryan Sesseegnon leave on a free . He was brilliant at Fulham and if we could keep him fit he would be a great signing for Free.
Transfer Rumour Thread on 00:12 - Jun 8 with 3607 views | saint22 | What keeper are we signing?? I seriously hope we are not planning on AM and Baz for the season We also need a good CB and I see that Mainz are looking to sign that Liverpool CB permanently | | | | Login to get fewer ads

De-geah is available. Short term he'd be OK. Big, strong and fearless

De Gea big strong and fearless? Not sure those are the words I’d use to describe him. A good keeper with great reflexes but with age you’d expect those to slow down. Not to mention he’s terrible with the ball at his feet. Not the keeper for us I think.

And we wouldn't pay his huge salary. He's def a no go.

Think you need to get realistic.

Transfer Rumour Thread on 23:07 - Jun 8 with 2983 views | PatfromPoole | A promoted club is simply not going to be signing England international players in their peak years. It will be a mix of the following:- - Championship players - Players from overseas Leagues - One or two experienced Prem players who are past their best The key is to get the right blend and to still retain the team ethic we had in the Championship. I really don’t see us signing that many players. Five or six tops.

I think Steel is being considered as a back up if Alex McCarthy does not agree a new deal

Transfer Rumour Thread on 08:49 - Jun 10 with 2461 views | SonicBoom | In the cold light of day after the promotion euphoria, I'd have to say we look light for the PL right now. We have to assume that we won't have anywhere near the level of possession we had in the championship which is what martin's tactics have been based on. So what will he do? If you have less of the ball then you need to keep more clean sheets and capitalise on the chances we do get. Currently my biggest concern is goals. Armstrong only got a handful in the relegation season, Adams the same and looks like he's off anyway. Stewart, who knows? Onuachu cost a lot but we never even saw him play. We are going to need a Beattie or a Lambert so we have a chance in games and as we know strikers are very expensive. Lack of goals will put huge pressure on the defence and I can't say I have faith we can keep them out with our current players. So for me there is a lot of work to do. but who knows we might unearth some diamonds and there certainly is no need to panic as I imagine the squad is going to look quite different by the time the summer transfer window shuts.
Transfer Rumour Thread on 09:00 - Jun 10 with 2456 views | davidargyll | PatfromPoole I entirely agree with you except the bit about older players. The fact is that because we have a decent solvent -viz Everton! - owner, we seem to be linked with every Tom Dick or Harry whose contract is coming to an end or is available on a free. I really don’t think our transfer boys are so nutty as to be thinking about getting a Dads Army full of past-their-best- but-experienced (what ever that is worth) players just because they are around. So given that the Rasmus Ankersen black box seems to have worked to a degree - I admit I am saying that through clenched teeth - so every Ryan Fraser is worth a Sulemana, I reckon by and large younger players with potential who will fit into the system are where will be looking. And forget all the Fontes, Ings, Lallanas, even JWPs (sadly). Too old. [Post edited 10 Jun 9:02]
