Thoughts on O'Brien? on 15:38 - Feb 9 with 4865 views | Whiterockin | Played really well and much more positive than we normally play. He was prepared to put himself about and didn't mind getting in there where it hurts which is unusual for loan players. We just need our players to get on the positive play wavelength to keep up with him. Congratulations to whoever sourced him.

Do you guys think he is an upgrade on Grimes? Or do you think it's too early to tell.. ?

He seems to be a box to box player, unlike Grimes.

Completely different player to Grimes, so can't compare. As for what the team needs, yes a 100% upgrade

IMO it's to early to tell after one game which we won, it's easy to get overexcited. We set up differently today, I would rather see how we are when Darling comes back and if we go with a standard back four, we didn't play that today and the central defenders didn't split with O'brien picking up the ball. The players have to adapt to not playing the easy ball to Grimes, we seemed much better at it the second half today. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Grimes is the player you want on the bench to bring on for the last 30 when you are 2 nil up. O'Brien is the player you want to start to give you the chance of being 2 nil up. O'Brien is the player we needed. I 100% believe selling Grimes was the best move and we won't regret it. If we go stay clear of relegation and strengthen the team properly come the summer Matt Grimes will be a total afterthought. Although it will be interesting to see how they take to him in Coventry.

Here's another thought. Do you think we should reward Delcroix a start over Darling?

I think he will go with Cabango, Darling and Delcroix. Two wing backs.

Will we go with a back three or four. My preference is a back four with Cabango and Darling in the middle, possibly with Delcroix at full back with Tymon further forward.

Absolutely, two of them together could potentially have complemented each other and given the midfield a better balance.
