Former U's 13:45 - Feb 26 with 16686 viewsRSCOSWORTH

We love our former U's, well most of them anyway, so thought I'd start a thread where we can keep up with them.

Thought I'd kick things off with a happier moment for Matt Jay in Essex as he scored a long ranger against Chelmsford at the weekend. It wasn't a joyous return though as Torquay shipped two late goals to lose 3-2 after leading 2-0.

Jay also got the equaliser away at Weston-super-Mare last night. Hopefully he's starting to enjoy his football again.

This will extend his spell to a fourth season in his second stint with Dale.

I had nothing against Chuck, but I'm not sure he'd be the right fit for us these days?

Weird coincidence - the other day the highlights of our FA Cup win at Sudbury popped up as a YouTube suggestion, so I watched it. McCoulsky scored our 4th goal, and a good one it was too. Don't remember anything else he achieved, and he was gone again by Christmas I think.

Made six appearances, all from the bench, scored against Sudbury on his debut. I actually thought he was decent enough to keep at the time.

Former Colchester United man Drey Wright has joined Dundee.

Credit to him in carving out a career in Scotland since leaving the U’s in 2018. Has now played almost roughly the same amount of appearances north of the border than his time at the U’s.

Good move that for Newby. I'm tipping York to win the National League next season. Always felt he was a little unfortunate during his time here.

I was really hoping we'd re-sign him, we can't afford that kind of fee though. Do feel like he should be playing at a higher level than League Two.

Aaron Collins has signed for MK Dons. They are putting a very good squad together. Perhaps they will finally live up to being favourites yet again. Their odds are extremely short though.

No surprise there unfortunately. Once they got promoted we were never in with a chance of tempting him back.

Looks like QPR have agreed so.e sort pf deal with Peterborough for Poku. Wonder if we will be eligible for some coffee it.
Seems QPR hijacked Rangers who were repeating to sign him in July when his contract ran out

Altrincham are in negotiations with eight players over new contracts, including top-scorer Alex Newby and goalkeeper Ethan Ross.

Altrincham have agreed a new contract with goalkeeper Ethan Ross for the 2025-26 season.

The deal is despite Ross still recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury he sustained in February.

Ross, 28, had kept nine clean sheets in 27 appearances last season before his injury.
