I agree to a point, but so far I haven't seen anything from the new/current ownership to generate confidence. There seems to be no sense in the last round of investment, why would they want to invest and see no sign of progress. If I had invested that amount into a business I would be certainly asking questions of the way it was being run, particularly the Chairman. They have a considerable amount of money and are not used to being told they can't invest to progress. I'm sure they have spoken to businessmen with similar investments and are forming their own opinion. Personally I think they are getting frustrated and Coleman needs to up his game or he will be gone. My opinion is since he has been here he has not managed the P&S well, in fact it has been shambolic. We have owners now with serious money who want to push the club forward, Colemans decisions are holding us back. There are ways to pump money in and stay within P&S rules, other clubs do it. Coleman is getting found out, his time is running out.

In my opinion Coleman doesn't seem to have a clue about running a football club in the UK. If the new investors are serious they need a chairman that understands how to do it.

i think Sheehan will get it until the end of the season. There’s not a lot of immediate progress despite rumours to the contrary.

I'm assuming the manager in the USA is Eric Ramsay.

See I don't get this if its true, surely we need a manager who is proven in the championship to move us forward, Sheehan could maybe do a decent job in the medium to long term with the right support.

If the current owners are more ambitious than the current chairman hence his removal. I feel they would have done research and completed a thorough appraisal on any prospective future coach. If they come up with Eric Ramsay and are prepared to back him financially and feel he is the man for the job, I feel we have to go with it.

I think the obvious thing to do (and will be done) is to continue with Sheehan until the end of the season. AC is staying on as chairman until then, so I don't think any major surgery is needed on the manager end, provided Sheehan gets a couple more wins. It will be a lot easier to bring in a new manager in June and sell his story to the team and fans, if Sheehan's not up to doing the job. I will say that Sheehan seems to be getting a tune out of his players, though.

And the important part is that they get things right and settled, which hasn't happened since these yankee doodle's got their feet under the table. We don't want to be going down this same road again and again, with turmoil at the club every 18 months / two years. [Post edited 15 Mar 10:58]

It’s got all the hallmarks of another ‘transitional season’ with a new chairman and quite likely a new manager in the summer. Lots of positive noises when Levein and Kaplan left, then they screwed up yet another transfer window. I hope we don’t see that again in August, then the changes at the club being blamed. If he’s going, let’s not pretend this is completely out of the blue and get a replacement in sooner rather than later.

These money men at the club are surely intelligent enough to know that the club cannot be allowed to run like it has been, like you say they made all the right noises after taking over, but the club got worse in my opinion, so the investors probably thought the same and have brought about this change we can't go on being a shambles behind the scenes which then emanates onto the field.

I think today was a reminder that he’s probably not the long term option - players play for him so there should be a spot somewhere
