Yes, Birmingham spent lots this season so why couldn't we do the same? Just fed up with the same crap year after year in this division. The pathetic performances like today, the consecutive runs of defeats (six away defeats on the bounce), the lack of progress...

Because clubs in L1/L2 aren't subject to the same FFP/P&S rulings as Premier League and Championship clubs are.
They are governed by the Salary Cost Management Protocol where L1 clubs can spend 60% of turnover on wages. Relegated teams like Birmingham can spend 75% in the first season. There are no restrictions on how much clubs spend on transfers. [Post edited 30 Mar 22:17]

We spent loads last summer and have got worse so I'm not sure unlimited spending in league one is the answer |  | | |

Pretty sure we've parroted that line every season for the past years now, and every time, we've had to pull off a snooker to avoid it happening. Ironically, the strange result that prevents it, is QPR beating someone they shouldn't have via a fluke or a worldly from someone who coundnt do that again if they tried 100 times.
