Eustace 21:52 - Apr 2 with 6734 views | andrew1302 | What a manager he appears to be. Another QPR mess up.And I guess there would be a real irony if Derby stayed up and we went down. Lose against Cardiff and we are in big trouble. Win and we should be okay. Having been at Stoke I have to say I am worried. Players who don't care on the pitch and those who do care injured.

We won’t, but I genuinely think we can afford to lose all our remaining games. Look at who’s playing who in the run in. While I know this is QPR, and this is the Champiknship, they can’t all win. But it still comes back to if we lose on Saturday we are 3 points (plus some GD) away from the dotted line. This club is truly mental

Glad I'm not the only one Although it would be typical QPR to be 16th going into the Sunderland game still needing a point to stay up

I mean, of course QPR is mental, that’s my lifetime experience as a supporter, but I think we are where we are because we’re just not very good rather than we’re temporarily embarrassed world beaters. We’re being shown up because we aren’t able to overspend our way out of it for once (Celar and Madsen aside). This is the naked us.

If we lose every game we'll go down, we're only 5 points clear and playing 3 of the teams below us in that time, 2 of them could go above us if we lose those games

Concern for me is next 2 games are crucial. We need points from them. With no players due back from i jury in the next week, it’s gonna be tough. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

What table are you looking at? We're only 5 points above the drop with 7 games remaining and we're bottom of the form table. We certainly can't afford to lose all of our remaining games. Win the next 2 however, and I think we're good.

I'm normally a great believer at this stage that you actually need fewer points than you think, but if we lose all our remaining games I am pretty sure we will go down. And we would deserve to, really. The strange thing is looking at the fixtures if we beat Cardiff on Saturday somehow, then they are 8, perhaps 9 points behind us with GD, with 6 games to go for them that include Sheff Utd and Norwich A and WBA at home. Luton are 7 points behind us now, perhaps 8 and if they lost to Leeds at home on Saturday and we won, we would be 10 points ahead of them with GD probably out of sight. So we could be looking pretty much safe on Saturday, but if / when we lose - we are right in amongst it and absolutely have to not lose at Oxford (ho ho). It is quite a swing, Saturday is obviously not a "must win", but it is really important if we want to get back on the beach. The good thing I suppose is that there is still time if the slump continues. We could find ourselves in the bottom 3 by Easter and suddenly the players wake up for some winnable games like Preston and Swansea. Argh, can't believe it has come to this again.

I have been saying it for a few weeks now we look like we are sleepwalking into a nightmare. Our players don't have the mental capacity for the dog fight as many of them have switched off and are going through the motions. Eustace is class at this level he doesn't over complicate the game he gets his sides organised defensively and hard to beat and plays excellent counter attacking football. I think Preston had 67% possession first half. I have been worried for a while and am now very very nervous. Can these players dig in and grind out a result or will Marti set us up again to open and easy to play against.

Very much agreed. When did the rational and logical fear, looking at our current run of form, of relegation get these terms like ‘bed wetting’ or ‘wetting your pants’? It’s just simple and basic maths .

I don’t have confidence in this team particularly , I just have less confidence in everyone else and can see the peculiarities of the fixture list. This team is rank right now but I can’t see it losing 11 out of 12 especially with something on the line. We in the driving seat and have so many opportunities to escape.

I know what you mean, I think it's more the opinions that we have "must win" games when there are still 30 to go or "lose this and we are down", or if / when we lose on Saturday, "that's it, we're doomed". Whereas the sentiment may indeed prove to be true, the fact will remain even if we lose 6-0 Saturday and Wednesday, we still have further (realistic) chances to get out of the mire. Surely the best way to look at it is that we are in a position most of us would have taken if offered it only 5/6 months ago. So it is still a great opportunity to get safe.

The maths are neither simple or basic, and make assumptions that we’ll continually lose while everyone else continually wins hence why we are so far from relegation in the bookies eyes, the people who have real skin in the game whether we stay up or not. I get the worry, and have serious concerns about the team, I just can’t see relegation and neither can the betting world.

Valid points , but as I think Dave said , I’m glad you have more faith in this lot than I do. The ‘assumption’ that this depleted, slow and lethargic squad will actually win more games and score enough goals to win games is my worry . Win Saturday and I think we are as good as safe but as mentioned , if results go badly against us , and they could , the gap is 2 points . Our best chance of a win is this Saturday . We have to go for it . It’s certainly a must not lose because 2 points ahead with 6 (?) games left is pretty basic maths to be blasé (not saying anyone is blasé now, I mean if it shortens to 2 points).
Eustace on 08:53 - Apr 3 with 2035 views | dmm | I'm increasingly worried about Cifuentes's state. He looks and sounds depressed and at the end of his tether. Has a rift developed between him and the players, as well as him and Nourry? QPR doesn't feel like a happy place at the moment.

Yes we have opporunities I just can't see how we stay up if we lose every game which is what you initially said We need to win at least 2 more games starting with Saturday

Thats why Saturday is such a big game, win and you can pretty much get the deckchairs out, draw and it's still nervy, lose and I'm gonna need a bigger roll of andrex

Eustace on 09:33 - Apr 3 with 1849 views | Wegerles_Stairs | It shows what an appalling season this is in reality when we're basically around the same points tally as all three promoted teams. Zero progress. Nourry has a lot to answer for - I initially thought he was a refreshing change from the comfortable stasis of Hoos but the more you hear on here about what's been going on behind the scenes, the more he looks like just another bullshitter pulling the wool over the clueless owners' eyes.
