A good point for QPR today considering the players we have out.

Bristol City a very good side with the ball but very shy in putting the ball into the box and I can’t really remember Nardi making many saves considering the possession they had.

QPR goal was a great move and a great team goal.

Some good performances today and improvement shown from Ashby and Madsen. 3 standout players today. Morrison and Edwards but MOM today was Varane.

A good point towards safety

I think he's a fine player, but he lost his man today for the goal and the goal's on him.

I haven’t watched back yet. For some reason when I replayed it in my mind it was on Edwards’s side. Thanks for pointing it out.

the draw gets us to the 50 pt mark, usually the sigh of relief, but..... i missed this one but reports are we could have won, had chances and played well, 3 unbeaten v a top 6 side, not bad.
after today you start to get the crazy results, as the league has settled down, play off contenders jockeying for placement to get home advantage second game , players rested, squads being looked at. i predict a few unexpected results

The first twenty minutes were scintillating. Absolutely cracking football and we could have been 3-0 up. So encouraging to see what we are capable of. Shame they scored against the run of play, as it took the wind out of our sails.

Across the whole game I thought Edwards was just brilliant - both in defence and midfield. Covered so much ground and won the ball so often. Dunne, Ashby, and Morrison were also really strong. There were several occasions where last ditch headers, interceptions and tackles saved the day - and kept City from having any real chances.

Proud of that performance as I had half-expected an 'after the Lord Mayor's show' disaster after the Oxford win. Credit to the players and the staff for getting up for the battle.

That was the only weird sort of negative for me from yesterday - Edwards was so good, and so important to us, but he isn't ours and won't be here next season.

An Edwards sized hole in that team yesterday is not a small thing to sort out.

Armstrong, Dickie & Wells all done their bit at the Rangers, never let us down that I can recall......they have moved on & good luck to them. They have a career and family to think about, including money matters.

As for the game yesterday......they looked decent but so did we. They probably edged it but did not really threaten us too much, 3 or 4 times perhaps. We were better for several periods during the match. Not much between the two teams overall. Both teams could have won the game. Not much between to the teams in this division, its a shame we have had so many injuries.

I think Dickie had to move. His form and confidence had cratered and he looked lost. Elements of the crowd were on his back and I thought he needed a restart elsewhere.

I'm actually pleased he has been doing well. My son's mate is a City fan and came with us yesterday. He really rates Dickie.

Sincs, unfortunately, in his opinion, does not seem to have developed much beyond what we saw. I didn't feel inclined to boo him though.

Wells wanted to stay with us. His club wanted the fee, so off to City he went.

Spot on. And if Jimmy is off too, that is going to be a very large hole - and incredibly hard to fill.

If there is any chance of signing Edwards, we should dive right in. One of the best defenders I have seen here in a long time.

Both are such good players. Just a joy to watch.

This is how I feel too. I know everyone pays their money, and can express their opinions how they want, but these days most players don't have loyalty to a club and it's unrealistic to expect them to. I know there are exceptions but for the vast majority it's a job, and a. short career, so they can't be blamed for wanting to maximise their income whilst playing.

Armstrong certainly doesn't seem to have pushed on since leaving us (nor does Chris Willock for that matter) and whilst he wasn't that good, I always felt he gave his best when turning out for us. Can't really ask for more than that

Agreed.

Also we aren't blessed with pace elsewhere in our squad to provide cover for Dickie. City may be more blessed. Also how they set up works better, I can't remember him having to chase back towards his own goal like he often had to for us.

I can see why you think that but on this occasion I think it's fairer to give credit to the opposition for a fine team move. In particular, the assist was a thing of beauty and would confound most defenders. Oh for a central midfielder who can thread passes through a defence.

Really enjoyed today, proper contest. Thought the first 25 mins was as good as we've been all season. Bloody hope Kolli reflects on not squaring to completely unmarked Smyth...that was ridiculous.

You can put that with Ashby's miss, Yang's attempt and he hit it so hard that if he had kept it on target the GK was never going to get near it and we'd all be singing his praises. A very bad miss but even Harry Kane misses a few easy ones.

The grass is always greener.

Edwards has a huge chance of winning the Championship next season (with Southampton not with us to be clear).

He’s be mad to stay.

Valid points but the Marti effect (hopefully he stays also) and the fact QPR fans, team mates love/respect him and the way he has settled in could sway his decision.
Of course the contract could be completly out of our range but I hope we at least take the shot even if its a long one..
So refreshing to see his 100% effort every second on the pitch for a loan player and you can count his mistakes on 1 hand this year thats more impressive

Memories of square it Tommy with Kohli late on.
The lad has promise but a top player roles it to Smith

Whilst I understand the sentiment, it's not quite the same situation. Tommy was a full-back who'd got to the by-line and had the opportunity to square it to Furlong lurking unmarked around the penalty spot. Kolli is a striker and both he and Smyth were outside the penalty area when Rayan shot.

That all being said, I agree that Kolli should have passed to Smyth but had he passed there would have still been work for Paul to do. What I would say to Kolli is whilst his confidence is admirable sometimes a little patience and composure is required. Roll the ball to Smyth and then get yourself into the box for a better opportunity.

Funnily enough I was thinking the same thing this afternoon. Edwards leaves it all out there on the pitch and was throwing himself into tackle right until the end. The effort and commitment to getting a result is admirable for any player, let alone a loanee. Superb effort.
