Anything good to feel about this season? 16:08 - Apr 26 with 2888 views | stainrods_elbow | We're probably staying up by 3-4 points with a lower points total than last season's misery! Manager may be off. CEO hated/scapegoated by two thirds of the constituency. Half the squad or more out of contract/too old/too young/not good enough. Owners asleep at the wheel. New bits of LR closed down every 3 months. Yeah, but apart from all that . . . I suppose I could cheer a few up on here by sacrificing myself on a home-made LfW altar. In the meantime, anyone? Anything good to feel about this season? on 20:56 - Apr 27 by Northernr | Not really. I was pretty optimistic we were heading in the right direction this time last year. I've had a good time, as ever, travelling round with my mates. The football has mostly been dreadful. I think it's amazing we've stayed up, but even that points to it being a very poor league this year which itself represents a missed opportunity. Now it's just wnkrs playing games, egos fighting each other, people leaking stuff for their own benefit not QPR's, a lot of dick swinging. Who's the constant? The 1,000 idiots going to Sunderland next week, who sell out at home every week, who pack away ends, who haven't voiced a word of protest or disdain, who stuck around yesterday to clap a fcking lap of honour even after this shambolically recruited nonsense team lost 5-fcking-0 at home. We've got a fantastic, vocal group of young people following our club now, creating atmosphere, packing the place out, travelling away. It's wonderful to see. They deserve better. The old twts who've done every game since the war deserve better. What reward do they get? An abysmally run club, controlled and piloted by people unfit.

This should be written above the front door of the club. To be fair it should be written above the door of most clubs at our level. Magnificent Clive. I identified with every word.

Anything good to feel about this season? on 22:08 - Apr 27 with 398 views | ManinBlack | Through the drudgery of this season there have been occasional outbreaks of good results. Three wins over Luton, beating Watford 3-1 and Derby 4-0 and finally winning against Norwich by three clear goals. Six away wins is better than many battling relegation have managed. What we have lacked this time round was we didn't get a surprise win against a top team like Leeds, Leicester and Burnley as in previous seasons. [Post edited 27 Apr 22:08]

Anything good to feel about this season? on 22:16 - Apr 27 with 377 views | ted_hendrix | Survival but If that's all I can come up with and It Is then that's crap. I haven't got a clue what the answer Is or even If there Is an answer. We just go from fixture to fixture and Year on Year It's always the same end result. Our location In London and the public transport that we as a club have Is excellent. I'd hate to be known as a cash rich successful club but we need someone with a football and finance brain to come In and tell who ever Is currently In charge to ''get to fck out of here I'm In charge now and my wallet Is fat'' and you know maybe start winning a few home games. Anything good to feel about this season? on 21:25 - Apr 27 by lassel | Staying up is absolutely a reason to feel good about this season. With *that* squad and then the injury list ontop it’s a minor miracle in itself. Of course the nagging doubt has to be that it’s just set us up for an utter gobbumming next season and a pretty toxic atmosphere come late autumn. [Post edited 27 Apr 21:25]

Well, exactly. It’s not so much how I feel about this season that is occupying my thoughts - it’s over, it’s done - no, it’s how I feel about next season…worried/terrified. If Nourry stays, I fear for who we’ll have in the dugout, for who we’ll recruit over the summer and what the squad will look like, and therefore for our chances next season. He must be more balanced in recruitment. They shouldn’t all be young players from backwater European leagues who have never played Championship football; we need experience. They shouldn’t all be data led; scouting has a role to play. And we need to bring in players who will improve the first team and be effective first team players immediately, not in 18 months. What I also don’t understand is how we’ll actually sign anyone when those prospects won’t know who the head coach they’ll be playing under is. I’d question any player’s motives who signs for a club without having clarity on that. Equally, Nourry keeps saying Cifuentes has a big input into the signings. Well, if he leaves, and his replacement isn’t in place yet, how could we sign anyone if the head coach does have a big say? There won’t be one to have that say. Unless…of course, it’s bollocks and the head coach has no input so we can crack on regardless with Nourry making the call. [Post edited 27 Apr 22:29]

Anything good to feel about this season? on 22:25 - Apr 27 with 326 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Not a single good thing. The football has been dire from the first game of the season to the last (I expect nothing at Sunderland). I cannot remember a single game where I came away thinking 'Wow, we were really good'. I fear next season will finally be worse.
