For saving us from hell
And then they put us through it
It's time the bastards fell

I'm gonna repeat something I used to say several years ago, they can be bigger than us and I don't give a rats ass because I'm quite happy to be better than them. Look at Manyoo, biggest club in English football and where are they? Being big can help but it's no salvation when the team is shit.

They bent over for the red scarf, built a new stand and waited...and waited...and waited and nothing! A bit like the film Carry on up the Khyber when Khasi's army are bombing the governors residency and they just keep eating their food ignoring the bombs landing all around them lol ! This really hurts them and I love it, you reap what you sow you utter fools! [Post edited 28 Apr 8:09]

I think somebody should remind them they are being relegated as the worst team in the league

Relegated BEFORE the last game of the season, the only one in the Championship.

Really? What if we bounce back next season with 25,000 average crowds? You know around double what you been getting of late? And double the gogs….. Who’s a bigger club, Bradford or Wigan?

We could easily stagnate in league 1, with 10,000 crowds or depends on Tans ego…..we need to keep salech as he’s a handful even in the championship, ash ford, Isaac Davies, maybe Rubin and Joel colwill will shine? Got a few decent players but have been so badly managed no one knows f all anymore, or cares. [Post edited 29 Apr 17:15]

Come at us when that happens Bluey. You’re just as likely to lose most of your better players and struggle in league one. There aren’t many fanbases more fickle than ours, but Cardiff is one of them. Start badly and you’ll have even more empty seats.

Sure, fickle as f, south wales folk…. Some of those on bigger wages are going anyway, like el useless ghazi, Ramsey, etc….we need that type of seasoned workhorse that helps you grind out wins in the lower leagues….we haven’t any of those at the moment. Locals that came through the academy are our best hope.

It's around double what you've been getting too mind. Serious question, do you think that's likely? What I've seen today is Tan has doubled down, he's determined to stay and turn this ship around, the iceberg is looming and the captain vows to change course....can he?

I think it was two years ago just post Covid he was ranting on about another crack at getting in the PL where he’d like to stay for 10 years…..I think he put our under 21 coach in charge that season, sacked by October, another clueless balls up season….think Reading saved us that season.

Mind you there is talk that he’s finally going to employ a DoF, en ex player. We need that and have for years

Simple post for our little cousins up the road on 18:23 - Apr 26 by RhonddaSwans | What do you mean union the will still say winning the empire cup in 1927 makes them huge. Listened to 5 live last week. They had a fan on saying Cardiff were bigger than Newcastle. Arguing a club as big as Cardiff should be challenging for the top 6 in the prem. (He was serious) The show ended with Chris Sutton saying Cardiff were bigger than Swansea. That 3-0 loss to them was a blessing it got Riza the time to sink them. Think of that on the day if I could have said they will go down 💯 at the end of the season. They thought it was going to be the start of a new dawn for them 🤣. I hope it is back to back relegations for them hahahahahaha 2027 playing the swd v Newport. |
For some reason Chris Sutton hates us. Or perhaps he just meant in terms of concourses.

In the modern era we have outperformed them easily, you have to go back a long way to say they were doing very well. They are a bigger club though, bigger fanbase. But I'll repeat, I don't care because being bigger means nothing when you are shite. I doubt any Manyoo fan is laughing and saying but we is bigger mush to Liverpool or Citeh right now. Tottenham, massive club too but the biggest underperformers in British football, size can matter but as Leicester proved, sometimes it doesn't.

So bigger crowds in a lower division , is that the magic formula to bring back the supporters .

It’s not a bad start, hook them in when young they usually stay for life….bradford averaging over 20,000 is good. A new thread on ccmb suggests many will still renew ST, crowds will be interesting next year but I doubt we will get the 3000 away fans much like in the championship several times. Only rovers maybe and they went down too…..

It’s grasping at straws. If they get off to a stormer, then maybe. If they lose their best players and don’t have a great start, they are really going to struggle crowd wise, playing less attractive teams who bring less supporters. Their support is even more fickle than ours.
