Cameron Archer's inability to press 20:09 - Apr 26 with 2151 viewsShirtNumbers

Archer is meant to be quick however today he comes on at the hour mark and hardly presses when we all know he is capable of this. My question is why the f*ck a player who comes off the bench cannot find the energy to run like a maniac at the oppositions defence which let's be honest is not an unreasonable request. He's on plenty of money after all...

Because Archer is, and always will be, just a journey man footballer who doesn’t appear to care who’s shirt he wears.

Honestly, would you make any effort knowing that you would pick up £20 to £30 thousand whatever effort you put in ?

Just another example ( there are so many others) of Sports Republic’s total ineptitude in the player recruitment department.

I don’t think you are wrong.

Didn’t he come from Villa ? A club who have had a good crack at the Champions League this season and may well qualify again for the next ?

I bet that they couldn’t believe their luck when Sports Republic’s doughnuts rode into Villa Park in the close season.

Agreed, I was saying the same thing, but he is pretty useless and about as much use as a chocolate fire guard, everything he did do yesterday he cocked up, pretty much like our so called saviour Dibling. Waste of two shirts and two substitutions by our interim manager.

Poll: Martin out

Once again it was our subs that changed the game for Fulham yesterday.

Archer is no target man or hold up outlet, his speed is his best attribute so we need to be playing balls on the deck for him to run on to.

Dibbling culpable for a part in their winner.

That was the 12th point right there, coughed up.

Sports Republic; owned by idiots, run by idiots.

At one point he pressed like an absolute demon all on his own for about a full minute so he can do it. He was also a bit unlucky to hit the woodwork but if he’d just managed to pull it back instead we’d have been nailed on for a 2-0 lead (which we would still probably have lost but might have ended up with a point).

You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into.

I thought we paid 18m for him.
Yesterday highlighted that for Onuchu's lack of stamina, mobility and at times clumsiness , he's still the only striker that causes defenders problems.

Waste of space. He's not even a very good footballer when he wants to be.

What were our recruitment team thinking?

They thought let’s buy sheff Uniteds bunch of losers and see how it goes. The more I think about players like him the more annoyed I get so I’m going to concentrate on other things.

I hope you are right as that will mean he will be demanding a move to stay in the PL. The only problem is finding another PL club mug enough to buy him. At one point, weren’t Leeds interested? If we can find another club that is mug enough then good riddance.

How many more times will a manager and god knows we have had a few make erroneous subs that totally lose the game for us?!
It must have happened at least ten times this season his at least 3 managers

I remember that pressing. If we're thinking about the same moment I'm pretty sure he fell over immediately after doing so...

May as well cut off the latter two words. Then alternate ‘Cameron Archer’s’ with any player of one’s choosing.

If it hasn’t already been done, I would like to christen him with the nickname Two Tory MP’s.

Not the most glowing endorsement, in truth.
