I saw it on DAZN. Cracking match. Sarfend dominated the first half then seemed to have run out of steam in the second, before a superbly executed counter attack goal at the death in extra time. Dramatic shoot out. Looks like it might be their year to return to the EFL, and the prospect of some no doubt tense encounters with the mighty U's. The intrusive "eco" adverts around the pitch are annoying - is the owner really that interested in football or just in advertising his supposed "eco" credentials?

Am I the only one now hoping for a Southend victory?
Like many, I wanted York to succeed. However, I hate pious FGR with a passion. How dare FGR dictate what I can eat, drink, do. I have no problem with any folk being Vegan (it’s their choice), but please don’t force me to follow said doctrine. They should invite a burger van into the car park to satisfy we carnivores. Minorities in the UK have far too much power.
Yes, we can all “hate Southend”, but let’s not ignore the full house, revenue, and no lengthy journey. I can understand how FGR is beneficial to Wessex, but for the rest of us I cannot think of a worst venue. A freezing Oldham also isn’t appealing.
crikey Noah, who's got your goat? (not FGR for obvious reasons!)
I have never been to FGR. However, I am sure they wouldn't dictate what you can eat, drink, and do?!? Yes, they may only sell vegan options (their choice), but I assume they don't make you eat it???
I'm sure you can get a BK on the way to down there (horrible tasting food BTW compared to most vegan options I have tried) - I know the CUSA coaches used to stop at the service stations along the motorways.
Anyway, looks like the Essex derby will be back - enjoy the gristle pies/burgers at Roots Hall!
I think the teams that finish second and third are actually at a disadvantage due to having such a big gap between competitive matches. York and Forest Green both went without football for over two weeks and are now out. Also the final isn't until the 1st of June. Talk about dragging it out.
