So there's still a few to sort out, but currently of last season's team, the only loss (for understandable reasons) is Fiacre and Goodliffe (and Ben wasn't likely to come back to be fair, we'd managed most of our resurgence of form without him). Plus we've signed Gape, Williams, resigned Tucker, and I won't be surprised if that isn't followed by Scully. News awaited on Taylor, Egbo and Tovide (anyone else?).
So far, a pretty good summer as far as I'm concerned.

and Tovide.....
He is already signed up - so unless someone comes in with an offer (Barnsley latest team to express an interest), then he is staying for at least 1 more season!

Indeed he is, and I want him to stay - but - if he does get poached, we get a decent bunch of cash to fill the gap.

Btw Daniel - we going to sponsor Tom again? I'm in if so!
I'll contact the club and find out what is going on. There's been no contact from the commercial team at the club since the person I was dealing with left at the beginning of the year.

I popped on here last season to see how McDonnell was doing.
Ben Perry is a good pick up for you.
He's a different player to McDonnell, he's more of an 8. He's very busy, not afraid of getting involved and stuck in. Likes to try and see the game moving, doesn't take lots of touches, just receive it and try and move it on. He's not a massife goal scorer but he does pop up occasionally with one.
Id say the best thing about him is his drive to succeed. He's got that Ryan Yates type of determination to squeeze out every bit of his ability possible. He's not a creative, technical gifted type who cruises around with beautiful touches, but he recognises that in himself and compensates for giving everything possible.
Still a little naive at times, as you'd expect at 20. Probably will pick up a fair few bookings as his desire to compete can take over at times. But you've got a good one who I think fans will like for his honesty.
In a totally different and pointless aside, he went to West Park School in Derby, where Jamaal Lascelles, Ben Osborn, Nathan Stanton amongst others went! The school has a good rep for developing good people and they've done the same again with Ben.
Good luck to him.

Thanks for the feedback chap, he does sound very promising indeed - Danny Cowley certainly thinks so to give him a 3 year deal. Not surprisingly, Jamie was a major factor in persuading Ben to choose us over others, looking forward to seeing him develop.

One year contract, so unless injured he’s a guaranteed starter. I sure hope Tovide doesn’t go there to be a bench-warmer.
I think Samson would be happier moving to a London club or at least some club close to it, I don’t see him being very settled living up north and Barnsley is not the nicest of places! No doubt money will talk though, if they offer him a good deal his agent will probably talk him into it.
