Wonderful funny warm characters, still worth watching now. RIP George, always felt like the kind of guy you’d like to sink a beer or two with in real life.

Enjoyed his company at a bar here in Auckland - he was having great time & pretty much same as his character. 4-5 beers in his big mitts as everyone wanted to buy him a beer. Iconic show & character

With beer prices in Auckland he probably couldn’t afford to buy his own beer.

I always liked George because he was a bit of a punk/hardcore fan apparently.
Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

What a great show. What a brilliant character.
Always remember this line -
"How's life treating you Norm"
"Like he caught me sleeping with his wife"
RIP George

Loved the gag where Norm walks in, Sam asks "What are you having, Norm?", to which he replied "Far too much" - a line I've used a good few times myself since.

Occasionally catch the repeats on in the mornings, still very funny especially the earlier ones.
I actually preferred when Shelly Long who played Diane left. The character was so annoying and it made the writing more character driven as for so long it was just about her and Sam's relationship. We got to see more of the other characters
