Anyone else not renewed yet? 11:25 - May 27 with 5505 viewsMrSheen

Have stopped looking forward to games over the last three seasons. The main attraction is meeting up with Master Sheen, and he’s now working most weekends so it’s getting harder for us both to be there together. Just recently…
Burnley - that’s it, I’m done
Sunderland - if they get the coach sorted first
Brentford - pump it in my veins, if they can only get the coach sorted
End of season podcasts - it’s going to be even worse next season, isn’t it?
Today - still torn, even losing sleep. The line of least resistance would just be to shell out, but I also think it’s just making things worse. Hmmmmmmmm.

My son and I have both renewed, as it's the rare time we have together these days. I won't pretend that the non renewal discussion wasn't had though.

I'm on D/D so it will renew automatically. Whether I bother to attend will depend on new manager, players joining or leaving and of course, quality of football and results

I wonder if the manager uncertainty has had an effect on sales?

I remember a be or two fans refusing to renew when Ainsworth started the season.

Sorry to hijack the thread but it could end up a very costly decision to put MC on gardening leave when you add up the

- compensation fee we may have lost out on
- any compensation fee we‘d have to pay
- the people holding off renewing season tickets until the footballing issues are stable
- the revolution of new players and staff that comes with every managerial departure and arrival
- and if MC doesn’t depart soon possibly the extra salary of a second manager.

Yeah, I didn't renew that season because the football had been so dire but ended up buying a half-season ticket once Marti was there.

Not sure about renewing - I figure you can still get tickets with membership and I probably won't be around for some games. Plus the Burnley debacle, general crap play last season and lack of a manager, etc. do make me think the rational decision is membership.

However, hope springs eternal and all that. So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Done it a three weeks ago . Gets me out of the house . Meet up with friends and going to use the 12.30s as an excuse to have an afternoon in the crown .
Not sure what else I would do on a Saturday anyway.
Plus it’s QPR and that’s good enough for me.

Not really a consideration. I promised my then three year old son that I would buy his season ticket for the rest of my life, as it is my fault he has to suffer. He is now 29 and still want to make Preston away on a Tuesday. Our bond is important, but then so is our shared bond to this place, this club, this area. The football isn't secondary, it is part of the whole, the camaraderie, the community, the continuity. If we were playing on Paddington Rec behind a rope I would be there. I want us to win every game, but then I want a socialist Utopia too. Life is tough and so is being a Rangers fan, but the alternative does not bear thinking about.

The way the club communicates with us now isn’t helping. I sit with my dad, who’s survived his 3rd bout of cancer, last year. We are long standing season ticket holders in F Block but I can’t lie I’m totally fatigued by our poor home form and lower end of the championship status.

I love QPR as well as going with my dad, but if he didn’t renew, I’d downgrade to membership and pick and choose games to go to.

I’d be intrigued to see how many season tickets we’ve got this year but doubt the club would tell us (unless it’s good news).

100% in the same boat. Renewed but just increasingly hacked off, it feels like the club is treating us like mugs.

Not renewed yet mainly because of the sacking of Marti because that is gardening leave in a nutshell, why the owners couldn't have got Nourry and Marti in a room and sorted out the differences is a real shame.

We had finally found an excellent Manager in Cifuentes which was starting to bring stability and then that all gets ditched, we will never know the full story, I certainly don't blame Marti for the poor start to last season, given so many Championship inexperienced players and expecting them to hit the ground running.

It almost feels inevitable that by the end of June I will have renewed because it's My/Our Football club and not Nourry's who will inevitably leave once he has got the extra lines to put on his CV.

The fact that this thread pops up every season belies how the club has been run in recent years. Frankly, I don't begrudge anyone either renewing or not renewing. Beyond the collective love of our team, it's a personal choice based on personal criteria. Some use the time to bond with friends and family. Others enjoy the matchday camaraderie. Some are time poor whilst others are time rich. Some (a fair number on here I suspect) enjoy concessionary rates whilst others have to pay the full price. Some will go regardless of whom is in the managerial hot seat whilst others want to see the current situation resolved before committing their hard earned cash. I say all of this because today I'm truly torn. No disrespect to anyone but the decision gets tougher when you're a parent of 3 and don't qualify for concessionary rates. Part of me is feeling a little pressurised by the loyalty window, the other part is wondering whether it makes sense to commit £600-£700 on something I can't always attend. Then we have circus around Marti. Decisions, decisions...

When you get that first blast of fried onions on SAR in late August it all makes sense again doesn’t it.
