When I went last time, there were police everywhere. It's tense though. At St Mary's, the Millwall fans were a disgrace over the bridge, drugged up fans throwing bottles amd attacking the home fans. This won't happen this season, as they are over in the corner. [Post edited 27 May 21:54]

Along with hundreds of others, we made our way from London Bridge to Canada Water. Got there at about 2.15pm for a marching police escort which should have taken 20 minutes tops. Took nearly an hour….. Worth it for the injury-time winner. One of my favourite days of last season. Was a good atmosphere up there.

It was an excellent atmosphere. A world away from the tourists at Tottenham, sitting in their padded seats.

Been there a couple of times in their Dockers End. For away fans it really is the safest away game you can go to — unless one’s afraid of gobby teens behind either a fence or on a separate tier. Great atmosphere, proper fans, good pubs. What’s not to like.
Millwall on 22:48 - May 27 with 1009 views | SalisburySaint | It’s no hassle for away fans these days at New Den However visits to The Den were always dodgy in my experience

That’s where you went wrong, we drunk on the Bermondsey beer mile, had some food at borough market and strolled through Bermondsey on the back streets with no bother at all. After the game we drunk in pubs round Bermondsey, including accidentally drinking in their main boozer, and strolled back to London Bridge. Again no bother. Most of the Wall lot I’ve known or met down the years a sound as, one of the few proper local supports in London and if you don’t go looking for it and don’t run your mouth or act like a din you’ll be absolutely fine. In fact it’s probably one of my favourite aways in London, and one I’ll be looking out for when the fixtures come out
Millwall on 08:16 - May 28 with 687 views | CARDIFFSAINT | If you do it by train and drink in pubs at London Bridge and then catch the train to South Bermondsey you will have no problems at all, it’s only one stop and only takes a few minutes and although the train will also have Millwall fans on the only thing you will get is friendly banter. When you get off at South Bermondsey there is a separate walkway for away fans which takes you to the away entrance turnstiles; after the game the police hold you back until the home fans have dispersed then they open the gate which takes you back to the platform, I have done it many times and had no problem whatsoever, in fact I would say it is a brilliant away trip. Right answer!! Nothing worse than pot bellied 50+ year olds (not implying you are a pot bellied 50 year old of course .... ) wearing the Saint Draper Tools shirt they bought and wore 15 odd years ago or whenever it was Also you get labelled and therefore not allowed in some places
