Saints legend imo . Excellent player who always gave 100 % and never sulked just got on with it and he always looked like he was enjoying it despite some awful results.
He deserves a move to a bigger club . You can’t say that about many of the others .
Complete agree. He has been excellent for us even through the most torrid time. He hasn't always got it right but he has always given his all and been a complete professional throughout. If he leaves he would leave with me wishing him the very best as he deserves it. I know some will say he gets paid well to be a model professional - true - but there are an awful lot of players who are not model professionals and in that respect he has stood out.

A good pro who had some excellent games for us and at least two season where he was superb.
But would i put him in the same bracket as Paine, Channon, Le Tiss, Davis, Holmes, Lambert etc.? Not a hope.

I would say so , he played for 5 years gave 100 %. I think if you play consistently very well for 5 years or more and stay with a club even though you could play for a much better club you can be classed as a legend . The way players jump from club to club these days without any thought of staying is crazy . KWP was not one of those he was loyal, dedicated and very good.
Lambert was a legend I agree but his job was to score goals and he scored many in the lower leagues, KWP performed well everywhere.

Agreed, model pro, been great for us and has always done what was asked of him without question and always giving 100%.
On the subject of being paid well, the one thing that has always baffled me is how low his salary was compared to some other players on our books not fit to lace his boots - clean them maybe, but that’s about it. It has often been reported his gross salary is £20k p/w yet Aribo is reportedly on £70k p/w and there are others on double KWP’s salary. I hope he gets a seven figure ‘golden hello’ from the club he joins as he is a free transfer and a decent last big payday.
Good luck to him and thanks for your loyal service.

I guess it's a definition thing, for me a legend has to have won something or done something truly significant.
KWP hasn't really done either, he's just played well for a fairly average amount of time at the club.
He's 22nd on the amount of premier league games played for us and only just in the top 50 of all time.
It's the same way i don't count JWP as a legend, or Betrand, Romeou, Pahars, Dodd etc.
All of them were consistent players who played well but didn't achieve anything of note.
As for Pahars , loved that bloke, brilliant little player .😀
Cheers Fran.
Marian is one of my favourite saints players in my lifetime, such a shame about the injuries towards the end of his career but at least we had his goal against the skates (one of the best in my lifetime)

I was talking really enthusiastically to a Latvian bloke at work about Pahars a little while back and I think I might have gone a bit over the top because he looked a bit scared. He calmed down a bit once he realized that I was no danger to him. He said hello to me when I saw him the other day so I think he’s forgiven me.
You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into.
PS. I was meaning to add that I’d class KWP as a faithful servant rather than a club legend. Good luck to him for his next move as he’s always done his best and never let us down in a really big way. He just didn’t have much help from the rest of the team.

KWP has been a good servant to the club & played his part under so many different coaches. I wish him well if he does move on but who knows he could still be with us next season. There's been a lot of hype about him moving on in every transfer window since he's been here but no-one has been prepared to pay for him, now he's a free agent it's probable that a Premier Club might take him despite his limitations defensively. He could find himself just a fringe player if he moves.
