I also lived in a couple of those areas for short periods. Scarred me for life …

And I stayed well away
Played football against a port mead team once
Still have the scars

I lived in three of those places you mention and I turned out alright... sort of!

In my honest opinion there are good and bad in all areas. It's just that in some areas the opportunities are greater due to the financial status of those living there and networking. Other areas that are more deprived, for want of a better word, you can still achieve your ambitions but need to work harder and get the breaks. Plus the support of your parents is always important, some just don't care. When I used to interview candidates for a position, if two were very similar and it was hard to chose. I would usually give the position to the one from a less fortunate area, if there was one. I was seldom let down because they seemed to want it more and worked harder to change their life. I await pelters for that.

Pardon my ignorance, but where exactly is Brynmelyn? Is it by the Dyfatty flats or behind where the old Dublin pub used to be?

My first real girlfriend was from Greenhill she was one of 8 certainly an experience meeting the family

The Brynmelyn pub was a lively place its long gone now though don't think I ever went in there, Greenhill is situated in the area further along towards town from the Old Cwmfelin Works up past the large bank of green grass on right hand side, the top of Greenhill on Llangyfelach Rd is down below the Catholic Church, the area of housing above the bank is all Greenhill, [Waun Wen is above those houses think is known as lower Waun Wen] as the road drops down the area becomes Brynmelyn.

Plus Greenhill is either side of Bridge Street - and down to The Old Duke pub.

Edit ... Full Moon changed to Old Duke pub.

They are using 2 different badges in the background, one with builds the other with a Blueturd .
Don't encourage them into Swansea or surrounding areas

Looks a right dump to me. The Full Moon is also not a pub I enjoy visiting. There's something about that place that I can't put my finger on, but i'm never at ease if I go there

Exactly this,I went in there once on the way to the stadium and I know some old faces from The Gari & The Railway and spotted one or two but it's a real spikey place full of lads and the Union Jack I still struggle with that
