I can't take any "all time" team that has Roberto Carlos as LB seriously. Massively overrated. As was Maradona, but I accept that I'm in the minority there.

I can accept tnat about Carlos, very good in attack and pacy but not the greatest defender.

Correct -would much rather the Fergie team.

Pele and Maradona up top.
Cruyff, zidane, di stephano and platini midifield.
Big John and Beckenbaur centre backs.

I think it was pre Ronaldo and Messi to an extent.

Fergie knows.

I have no idea.

Fergie did say that John Charles was the only player from these islands that would make an all time world eleven.

None of Charlton, Moore, Law, Best, Keane, Scholes, Gerrard, etc made the team.

But thatโ€™s got nothing to do with Ramsey. Like I said youโ€™re letting your nationalism cloud your judgment . John Charles and arguably Ivor could be described as world class but Ramsey is a million miles away from both.

Sir Alex did try to get Gascoinge to Man Utd on two occasions , once whilst he was at Newcastle and another attempt for him during his Spurs term as a player .

Would Fergie have been a stronger manager for Gazza and pointed him in a better direction instead of him having his present day issues .

Alex Ferguson had his many critics , but he knew how to get a team together .

I have no doubt Gazza would be in a better state than he is today. Fergie would have straightened him out.

Seems theyโ€™re appointing Brian Murphy (thought heโ€™d cooled a while back actually๐Ÿ˜) because his vision blew them away. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
