Drogheda United expelled from Europe on the double-ownership rule.

Isn't Textor trying to reduce the percentage of Palace he owns in order to force through the club's participation in the competition?

I hope Palace do get kicked out as it might tip the balance on Eze wanting to leave.

That’s one option but apparently there was a cut off date to do that, the Forrest lunatic owner did in in April just in case they made champions league and it clashed with Olympiacos. Now that hasn’t happened he’s taken his shares back.

As you say, fingers crossed they get booted out and Eze leaves for European footy.

Also would mean Brighton get the bump up to the conference league, talk about rub salt in the wound.

That was changed this year, used to be in May after the season ended and you knew you were in Euopre but this year was in March when Palace were only in the quarter finals and lets face it not really fancied to get in Europe

The only part of the equation that's remotely important is whether it increases or decreases the chances of Eze being sold?

I find it utterly bizarre that a Rolls Royce of a player like him, appears to garner zero interest from bigger clubs. There's more noise about Jack Grealish, who's done sweet FA in two years, apart from nearly fall off a bus, then a bloke who has steered Palace to an FA Cup; is frequently a stand out player in games and hasn't looked out of place for England; regularly scores a banger; and seems to have a sensible head on him.

He'd totally rip it up in any of the big European leagues and frankly, if he were in one of the top-top sides in England, he'd be a KDB waiting to happen.

As I say, I find it bizarre no big clubs appear interested. Staggering!

Think the Jack Grealish experience has a lot to do with it.

Grealish, like Eze, is a stand out player but the big clubs tend to go for the stand out team player these days.

Not that either are selfish, it’s just the reality that these type of players form can drop off a cliff when they’re just another cog in the system.

I obviously want Eze to go so we can have the money but it would be pretty heartbreaking watching "Pep" do that to him as well.

I’m not sure that Grealish has been given the game time to play himself back into any sort of form.Pep seems to prefer any other player rather than him.

I mean City, United, Chelsea were all fine as they engaged with uefa and took action to meet the rules on having two clubs in Europe.

I don’t have much sympathy for Textor when the rules have been known for a long time and their only mitigation is ‘well palace aren’t that good so we didn’t expect Europe’. Don’t own more than one club and you won’t have an issue 🤷🏻‍♂️

He was in the team all the time when they won the treble but then he went on the piss for 2 months and came back playing rubbish so he's lost his place

On Eze I think he should go abroad maybe Bayern

Yep, I think the same. He'd be with his mate, Oliseh, team up with Kane and no doubt would win something.

Fair enough.I didn’t realise that he’d been doing that.It seemed to me that he been dropped to accommodate Doku, who I didn’t think was as good.

The Drogs are my local team. I grew up watching them when the Irish league games were played on Sundays back in the day.

Gutted for them, they’ve been through the mill over the years and were close to going to the wall more than once.

In fact, my first time seeing QPR was in a pre-season friendly in 1984 at home in United Park.
We had qualified for the UEFA cup that season and lost 14-0 to Spurs over 2 legs in the first round.
Decisions like these always punish the little clubs disproportionately.
