Nourry on Radio London on 12:58 - Jul 6 with 1952 views | mikeyhg | Good interview I think, more open than usual about what he and others wanted from a Head Coach, even if some of these things were obvious or reported elsewhere. Respectful of Marti but could read between the lines that the players brought in last summer were more club signings as opposed to Marti signings, so Marti ditching the likes of Madsen (rightfully so at the time, he was awful) didn't sit well with the progress the club wanted the players to make. What will be interesting is if some of those players from last summer and this summer don't work quickly and we're near the bottom again, will Stefan toe the line and keep with these players or will he change it up if he thinks its needed in the short term to drive results. Everyone can say the right things in a job interview, but if instincts change, it will be interesting to see if he goes with them. He admitted we have too many players now already, so that means outgoings and if we bring in more players then more will go.

I had to google it. Seemingly, teams compete to win a series of games in a knockout format culminating in a 'winner takes all' final game. Afterwhich, the team that wins all the games is handed a silver cup of some kind. Fair play, CN sounded sensible and came over well I thought. Who knows, maybe that's what is needed as opposed to an old boy.

I was thinking that based on yesterday, with two different 11s, we could actually have a cup run this year and beat the likes of Vauxhall Motors for once. What a glorious concept - beating teams you really should beat, convincingly. Do you think it’ll catch on ? I have a feeling in my water….

Nourry on Radio London on 14:35 - Jul 6 with 1472 views | stainrods_elbow | Still nothing on why Marti left, of course. It clearly must be some kind of cosmos-shattering reason, the disclosure of which would cause LR to detonate. Otherwise, I'd say Nourry speaks with clarity and maturity in a way that gives me (still cautious) confidence.

From the tone of how favourably Nourry has been speaking about Marti's legacy, plus the heartfelt eulogy of Marti's message to the fanbase, I think you can safely assume an agreement has been reached between the two never to air that particular piece of dirty laundry in public.
Nourry on Radio London on 16:01 - Jul 6 with 1111 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | I said after the DS won their final that we wouldn't make many signings in the summer and that interview more or less confirms it. Those lads deserve a shot. I think it's the Red Bull Group who give their youngsters 20 first team games to prove they can stepup if not they are sold. Nourry is following the same model and good on him. Sink or swim time lads.

Nourry on Radio London on 17:25 - Jul 6 with 788 views | jtuck | Careful, plausible way of speaking. The 'Look...' at the start of some answers and general presentation clearly shows media training. There is nothing wrong with that but means fans should not expect any spontaneity or obvious passion. Again, nothing wrong with having a cool head not a hot head at the top of the club but you lose the human element. If CN liked Cifuentes, he would have said that Marti did a fantastic job saving Rangers from relegation not once but twice.

My point is that that amicable agreement leaves the fans out in the cold. For the nth time!

As if Cifuentes, Hoos, and all the rest (incuding the players - well, the brighter ones, I guess) were/are not 'media-trained'! Why single out Nourry?

While that may be true (and I'd applaud it), I think you're partly conflating the man and his position - like a few on here. 'Control' is invested in his position; it doesn't just accrue from his personality. And would you rather have cuddly, well-intentioned, arm-flapping Tony back at the helm, texting and tweeting about this, that, and the other, and making a pig's ear of everything that's put in front of him? If the club start getting results on and off the pitch, a bit of sober and even slightly sour power-housing from our Wunderkind is fine by me. Do you think Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, or even dear Dave Sexton did what they did through being lovey-dovey democrats? Either way, if things start to improve, I don't expect any of those who should be to start baking their humble pie in readiness for a few public mouthfuls. [Post edited 6 Jul 18:01]

Perhaps this interview and the one with Dave Mc is a sign that things are changing.
