Steve Palmer - forever R'rrrs? 22:21 - Jul 11 with 1282 viewsNorthLondonR

Surely? Does this need to be a poll situation? I just recall his never say die attitude, play central defence, or central midfield, whatever... he put in a shift. No Iniesta but a warrior for sure

Poll: Moses Odubajo - Stick or Twist?

I was probably drunk... but he definitely deserved his induction, belt and braces pro. I am glad that I've contributed to the 'weird' "I told you so" discourse. Apologies guys and gals, what's happening with the Kelman or Eze situation? Has Cifuentes found further employment?

His signing was so underwhelming at the time, but like so many QPR signings he had an Indian summer of a career.

Clive did a podcast with him I think? Recall him speaking fondly of the club.

Although Richard Johnson coming into midfield instead of Palmer was crucial turning point in our promotion in my view. Palmer was a good solid player though for us.

I always thought he was vastly underrated. No pace, but the team was always better when he was in it.

He was one of the ex-players on duty when we got a box for my 50th a few years back in the Watford 5th round cup match. I spent 5 minutes drunkenly apologising to him for basically ignoring him because I was spending all my time chatting with one of my childhood favourites, Wayne Fereday.

He was very gracious and good humoured about it.

I have probably mentioned, and absently mindedly, duly attested to by this thread, Fereday was my first hero, and I duly bored him to tears during that 2010 London Masters winning triumph, with his missus making him meet me with my picture of him and my Tiny Tim Cratchit (1983 version, not original Basil Rathbone) looking self and him whilst a mascot in 1988, full blown tash on show

Remember him scoring a last second winner against Cardiff when they’d been down to 10 men for what seemed an eternity, header if I recall.
I liked him, never outstanding but never too poor either, gave his all no matter what, a true pro and we were lucky to have him and needed a true pro like him at that stage.

Loved Steve Palmer ... I swear that a Steve Palmer "trap of the ball" used to send it 30 yards up the field.

Personally I don’t think we have had a captain like him since ? As a leader and ambassador 2nd to none

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?

Mr Dependable.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.
