I love the English but we are not the same. 01:05 - Jul 14 with 2149 viewsReslovenSwan1

Ethnicity is not just DNA . It is language, religion, art, politics social habits.

The Senedd for all its failing is a vindication of a separate history and culture.

Here is a summary of the DNA differences, I have never tested my DNA but i had reddish hair pale skin freckles and aptitude for rugby and singing. My linear families were all Welsh,

Given uo debating with me then? Go on, answer my question....

How are the Turks relevant to us? Violent, forced assimilation is always bad, democratic assimilation, ie by the choice of the people is just the will of the people.

Putin is wrong.

The Senedd and its latest changes have shown to be undemocratic.

Wales needs a government that looks after ALL of Wales, that invests in its own country with wisdom not in vanglorious stupidity. Our FM is deluded if she is proud of the last 26 years.

The question I always ask is.

If the Senedd was not based in Cardiff, it was never intended when the referendum vote took place. But was situated in the centre of Wales possibly Newtown, would Wales be run differently with less money pumped into SE Wales and a more even distribution of resources. I certainly believe this to be the case particularly the infrastructure in Wales.

Genuinely think I’ve got more in common with English people than Resolven and some of the other rabid Welsh nationalists on here.

I’ll want them to lose every single time they step on a football or rugby pitch, but that’s as far as it goes. I’d rather have a pint with the average Englishman than a parochial idiot any day.

The Welsh ladies did incredibly well to get there, they were always going to get a tuning against top sides.

I find most nationalists a bit creepy to be honest. Insular.

I am not a rabid nationalist. I cannot stand the anthem singing and mock patriotism. I simply want people to respect themselves and not compare with our neighbours.

We are not English. Nothing wrong with preferring English to Welsh or Scots. I do not want to be assimilated as an English person. The Turks made that mistake and the Chinese and Russians are creating the same mess.

Be proud be different. It is better and more interesting and engaging.

I am proud to be Welsh. I’m just secure enough that I don’t have to take pithy little cheap shots at England every chance I get.

Be proud and not just for the football team. If it is just for the football team or rugby team then the word for that support is 'superficial'.

Wales must have a national airport for example. People on here talking about shutting it down because it loses a paltry million or two every year. Stone cold losers. Save the money and give it to King Charles or immigrant causes.

Put me on ignore and move on. I represent a point of view not popular with posters but popular with readers.

We have £2 billion for a data breach correction for all the foreign nationals who did some work for UK 20 years ago but no money for a Welsh airport according to this forum conscientious.

Put me on ignore please. Why not?

This forum has a strong Pro English stance seen mostly in the distaste for anything based in Cardiff. If fits nicely into rather pathetic second city syndrome.

The people who are keen to give citizenship to Afghans who spent a month or two working with the UK military are against any state money for own own airport for a very small proportion of the Afghan funds. They want Welsh people force through the Bryn Glas tunnels and an hour extra drive through Bristol city centre.

Correct they built a bypass road to make it far easier to get to the airport, what did the dilapidated Drakeford do, he canceled the M4 relief road which killed any hopes of Wales getting any decent investment into the Country, welldone Dreadful another failure to add to his many other failures. Shocking.

The satnav / google maps takes you through the city. National express busses go through the city. Under Telfords bridge past Aston Gate. About a mile and a bit from Temple Meads

How long has that new bit of road been built in Bristol which sends you around Ashton? 6 years? As I've got an Audi diesel guzzler.I drive down to Clevedon and cut across some lovely quaint countryside. Nice drive and I don't think it takes me that much longer.
Honestly I've said before if the product suited us in Cardiff. We would fly from there. However for us price and times dictate that generally we fly from Bristol.

I used to go that route before the new road and as you say takes no longer and misses the emissions zone. Our cars are compliant so I use the new road where you only just skirt the EZ. It looks like the massive new onsite parking is nearly ready which will speed things around the airport. If the new overhead rail kicks in when there are just the two of us we will probably go by train. Swansea to Cardiff, Cardiff to Parson St and the link in.

First, a stone cold loser is one who is happy to waste money and keep throwing millions away when there are other areas of Wales that are desperate for investment, more Welsh people use Bristol than CWL largely because they cannot fly where they want to fromCardiff.

Second, it's not about Swansea, it's about the whole of Wales being left to stagnate. You however cannot see the blindingly obvious when even Plaid Cymru can see tht Wales is suffering under this Senedd government.

Third, Welsh people CHOOSe to go to Bristol for the reason I stated above.

Fourth, people who have fought for this country, risked their lives and their family's lives then they are welcome here as long as they are willing to integrate. It wasn't months either, we were there for 13 years. But you'd rather keep an airport to make it easier for you than save peoples lives. Or is it because they are not Welsh?

Why does Wales need an international airport? What is the big reason you say that?

Tell me, if it's second city syndrome then why do people across Wales from Ynys Mon to Cwmbran, from Tenby to Colwyn bay, why do they feel the same.

PS, how do you know people who read your posts like and sgree with them? That's a very arrogant assumption. Maybe they just like a good laugh?
