I'm less concerned about it being a benefit than people thinking stopping immigrants travelling on a bus is protecting women and children.

Well yes and no. Providing your journey starts or finishes in Wales you can travel for free in England. Get on a bus in Chester you can travel to Wrexham for free. Bristol to Chepstow is free ect. Or reverse journeys. | | | |

I jokingly presented my bus pass to a bus driver on a bus in Poole last year, he politely refused it, we were only travelling into Bournemouth for the day.
I wouldn't use it to travel across the border, couldn't think of anything worse than being stuck on a bus for a longish journey perish the thought. | |

I don't and I do have family in Chepstow and Bristol. Also, some of my family are originally from Hereford and that route for Abergavenny must be great for those who want to use it. Great for them but it would be even greater if we could jump on a bus straight to Bristol. I suppose we could catch a bus (somehow) to Chepstow and then to Bristol if I was old enough for one of these passes. I know that they have a very good pass for the over 60's in London. | |

In London, they get the Oyster pass free at 60 ( I am pretty sure) - that is a lot of people getting access to an excellent transport network | |
