I was there but left about a minute before the end to catch the special train which we were told in no uncertain terms would be leaving at a time which would have been virtually impossible to make if we'd hung on any longer.
Just passing the Fratton end we heard an almighty roar and assumed skates had snatched a late winner. Then the Fratton end emptied and headed towards us then turned left towards The Milton End!
We kept our heads down albeit looking miserable, which unknowingly possibly saved us any hassle😂
We were very confused by the bouyant mood on the platform, maybe glad they escaped in one piece? Of course the train left much later than we were told and we only found out the score when somebody said 'what a way to win' as we boarded the train 😜 |  | | |

It's kind of amusing how desperate you are to push for something given we don't really go down the myths route whereas yours are laid out bare in front of you.
