I certainly feel we have a better and more balanced squad than last season. Lacarche I don’t think is the disaster waiting to happen at left back and I suspect that Harvey Vale could be a more than reliable back up. In defence Morrison continues to impress and Mbengue will provide back up both in CD and at right back. If JCS could ever get himself fit then we have a very decent defence. Midfield I actually think we have our strongest collection of players for many a season, Field, Varane, Madsen (improving very quickly), Vale, Chair, Poku, Dembele, Smyth, Sutton, Morgan is quite a source of talent. Up front, Burrell, I’m sure we are all waiting to see if he is another Washington or that fabled 20 goal striker, (10 would do me), Frey, I like Frey. Hopefully more fit than injured and Kholli, who I hope can develop further from last season. But with the midfield I feel that the majority of goals this season will come from there and I wouldn’t be surprised to see both Chair and Poku hit double figures. The only question mark for me is the coach. Never heard of Stephán before so I hope that he will get the side playing some great one touch flowing football. If so then it is a top ten finish for me.

Has to be relegation at this juncture. Completely new manager I know nothing about and new acquisitions that don't seem to have made any significant or meaningful appearances in the friendlies. Beyond that, a large chunk of the existing players are inexplicably missing or injured or frozen out. It looks like a shambolic hotch-potch of mediocre puzzled players to me.
It does seem normal and acceptable to virtually write off the opening fixtures pending the closure of the transfer window and finally getting all the ducks lined up from September though. I find that a bit annoying, especially as our opening fixtures aren't that daunting and if we were ready and "at it" we could fill our boots, pick up early points and give ourselves a base to build from.

Hope we survive, 18-21 will do, hope the new head coach will suprise positively, but, defense poor , Cook fragile (injured?) and Edwards gone and not to mention strikers? What happened to Smyth and Nardi? Many new talents but little experience. The head coach new to the league and looks lost. Get in 3 experienced loans, defense, midfield and a striker, is my only hope, wont happen until September though
