This youngster has signed for Portsmouth, I thought was very good for us I expected him to resign for the Rs 2025/26 season as he was only with us the second half of last season, did anyone else think he was any good or am I overrated him

He had his flashes but I don't think he was consistent for us. Hopefully Dembele, Smyth and Poku stay fit as they all suit us better. Also Burrell might have more about him when played down the middle.

Now if he was a left back ....

We are a sausage factory, for better or worse.

We can’t afford to give minutes to other team’s players.

Unless they are called Ronnie Edwards and end up as our player of the season for their time here !!!

These days, loans are key in bolstering up the squad, where its needed.

Think Yang will do well for Portsmouth but we need other areas strengthening now. And hopefully the loans will fill in where we have gaps....

I wouldn’t even have brought in Ronnie Edward’s frankly, even with those cheekbones.

True, I'd rather have Poku

Team balance.

Pompey can have Yang and he'll fit in well there as a flair player amongst a big, athletic team who can battle through a Championship season.

Here, he'd just join the "lightweight, baller brigade" and won't move our dial one bit.
Now a defender like Ogilvy or a striker like Bishop would do us far better.

Get ready to be bullied through a season starting Saturday...

Can we go out yet?

Yep, we don’t seem to have learnt.

I shall be holding my 6 foot ruler up to the squad announced at 2pm and expect minimal breaching.

With our lot, poor old Dunne must feel like that mascot that Cole Palmer escorted onto the pitch.

Still have nightmares about his performance on a cold midweek night at Boro. Not for me, Clive.

I get the reasoning but loans are still viable for us. Not only can they fill a spot whilst we wait for a player of our own to develop in that position but why cut ourselves off from a pool of talent that the rest of the division are using?

How does that player we are waiting to develop actually develop without minutes though?

Also, the word talent is subjective.

I like Yang, but did he really contribute more than a motivated Tuck, Bennie, or Talla would have? I don't think so.

He scored a couple of goals. Those you name probably would not have.

He wasn't great though...

He could go out on loan himself and get more minutes than he would staying at the club.

If he stays at the club whilst a loan player is with he us he can be integrated slowly rather than thrown in .

Yes, talent is subjective but so is 99% of what we talk about here if you want to go down that road.

I don't think it's a particularly big deal and I'm not desperate for the club to bring in loans for the sake of it but I don't think we should cut our nose off to spite our face , that's all.

'He could go out on loan himself and get more minutes than he would staying at the club'

A fair compromise.

It is a big deal thought I think. Would be nice to be able to promise young talent minutes in the event of injuries or bad form for the starting XI in good faith.

I can't see any route forward for this club except for a disciplined long term thinking almost without exception.

I do think we have learnt and are attempting to get add size and physicality.
Saito and Yang haven't returned. Poku seems to be a replacement for Smyth on the right.
Admittedly it's small steps but we can't change everything at once.
The squad isn't finished yet and as always, it probably won't be until the end of the window.

Yang looked good both wide and up front, and we need strikers so I'd have liked him back. Saito and him are further losses to the Squad that I'm far from convinced we have replaced adequately yet.

Forgive me if the point has already been made but developing our own youngsters is supposed to be a key strategy for the QPR. It would therefore be somewhat perverse to be developing another club's youngster in a position we are not deficient in.
