We usually write it from the bottom up, but the top was so much easier this year I started there just to get it out of the way. It also means it's completely out of whack with the podcast, which goes from bottom to top. Promise I'll make this all more coherent next year. Behind the curtain I've basically been travelling all summer trying not to think about QPR or the Championship and only actually started writing the preview a week ago today. So it was very much who's easy to call/write? Ipswich, Southampton, Coventry, Birmingham etc. Get those done so at least I could go into last weekend with half a dozen written. Then just the quick 16 hour Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday shifts et voila!

A flat front three of massive bstrds supplied by Louza and Chekvetadze. Matty Pollock plays defence by himself.
Season Preview 25/26 – Strugglers on 13:10 - Aug 7 with 2064 views | GaryBannister86 | For what it's worth, as everything I desperately don't want to happen, obviously will. But I am serious about QPR, I fear we're in for a relegation season as bad as the one that sunk us into League One years ago. Our ridiculous striker situation will finally come back to bite us with Frey permanently unfit, Celar no good or gone, Durrell probably no more than another Bonne. No goals, no Marti = no good. Desperately hope I am violently wrong, but have put my money where my mouth is as a saver. 9/2 to go down, far too big. 1 Leicester 2 Birmingham 3 Southampton 4 Ipswich 5 Sheff Utd 6 Wrexham (vomit, up via playoffs) 7 Norwich 8 West Brom 9 Watford 10 Coventry 11 Bristol City 12 Derby 13 Millwall 14 Boro 15 Swansea 16 Portsmouth 17 Stoke 18 Hull 19 Blackburn 20 Charlton 21 Preston 22 QPR 23 Oxford 24 Sheff Wed [Post edited 7 Aug 13:11]

Not sure it will be quite that bad although I do think we will be in a relegation battle. I can see it panning out like three seasons ago, when we got off to a bright start and ended up surviving by the skin of our teeth. The one thing we do have in our favour is a number of battle-hardened vets like Dunne, Cook, Field and Chair who have been in this situation numerous times and will know how to deal with the pressure of being down around the bottom.

I hope you are right and I am a massive fan of that spine you mention, but just fear the worst as everyone seems to think Cook is finished and if Dunne is out early season..... [Post edited 7 Aug 13:33]

I can't like your post but I do feel much the same. No goals. No Marti = No Good, and I'd add No LB, No Saito and big doubt about defensive cover especially this left side. We seem to have a lot of injured players and the season hasn't even started.

Can't argue with any of your Top 14 definitely finishing above us. From Swans in your 15th spot downwards, it feels like perm 2 from 9 (incl us) to join poor old Wednesday.

Watch out for Watford struggling this year. Their fans are not confident. Cleverley was broadly popular. Their latest Champo regen manager could be anything and not sure how good their transfer activity has been.
