Unfortunately it’s absolutely needed. Stadiums can’t even let home and away fans sit together or alcohol infront of the game because football has a large number of plonkers that can’t control
Themselves. Sad really as 95% of fans just want to enjoy the game!

At Southend's ground we scored a winner In the 90th minute, I jumped on the fence behind the goal and celebrated like a gibbon.
On further inspection walking back to car I realised the palms of my hands were pitch black, a couple of the lads informed that was anti vandal paint on the fence.

I did a uni dissertation in 1986 on football hooliganism. In it, I made a number of comments: its invariably preplanned; carried out in broad daylight; frequently in the same areas; and by the same people. And yet, despite these factors: it's on the rise and the police seem incapable of getting a handle on it!
40 years on, we're CCTV'd up the wazoo and can film with accuracy to the criminal standard of proof and frequently, bystanders film and upload 'proof' to the internet and this lots solution: spray indelible paint, potentially indiscriminately!
