As life has calmed down a lot and I'm in the same place for the last four years, with only an hour difference in time, I thought I might get the TV package.
A mate who lived close by had it, but we were always rubbish on it. However, I got the DS Cup in May, and coverage and comms were good.
My questions: am I right, has the moaning about poor/no connections reduced over the years? Do you also get DS/u18 games as well? And, well this is more pertinent: if you have problems (which I will) is their a responsive and understanding customer helpline?

I'm in Switzerland and got the QPR+ season package the last couple of years. It's genuinely really impressive now and friends who have come round to watch their team hand us a whupping have all been taken aback how much better our offering is than their own club's.
I don't think I had any issues with it last at all season. Production's really good (and improving) and Andy Sinton on co-comms is top class. |  |

I use it regularly on my frequent vistis to Luxembourg, John, and I'm a huge fan.
No technical issues thankfully and Sinton is pure quality.
As me and my bank cards are based in Ireland I can't buy a season-long package, so I have to pay a tenner every time I go to Luxembourg. |  |

Yes, it’s better and more stable but you won’t get the DS games or cup games etc.
Comms are good and generally the audio works well. There are some occasional blips, where the mic seems to be unplugged but it’s rarer these days.
We also get some alternative commentary on the odd occasion that our own is not available but they switch that out quickly too.
As QPunkR says, Sints is great and Tyler supports him well. They make a good team but you miss the accidental partridge comments about players like Bamford from Nick. |  |

I would add that recent changes to the TV deal by Sky mean that you probably don’t need a VPN much anymore if you are outside of the UK.l, which I think you are. That helps.
As for phoning support, I have never done that. You tend to see everyone commenting on the match thread of similar issues and then they get resolved.
Once you log on via a smart TV, it’s a couple of clicks and you are away.
With a decent internet connection and recent model TV, you wouldn’t know it was a stream anymore. | |

I think its all still run by Pitch International, using the IMG feeds.
Other than having our commentators over the top QPR don't really have a lot of control as far as I can tell.
They can't set the price, they get a flat rate income from it and they can't develop any new features.
For example if you pause the stream for any reason when you rejoin it jumps to live.
So with the same logic its not possible to scrub back through the timeline if you join late.
Having said that its a lot more reliable than a few years back. Worth a tenner imho |  | | |

I'm in France (like you Eric) can't I just buy it using either my French or , if needs be, English bank card.

I think they are referring to using a VPN - which you won’t need to do in France.
There are some locations where Sky don’t block the feed and Luxembourg is one of the usual suspects. I believe it’s classified as a ‘dark market’ or something similar because Sky haven’t sold the broadcast rights to that country. So, if your device looks like it’s in Luxembourg then you can access the feed.
One of the reasons that the Club partners with and promotes NordVPN I assume. | |

Well, I have an email from QPR saying they've successfully deducted the cash from my account. Which, given a recent update to the French banking app, is a huge leap.
