A couple times he overcommitted early because, I guess, he didn't think he'd be able to recover. Unlike last week, Field played deep and Madsen further forward. Even so, Sammy arrived on two good chances...and put them both wide. A theme. Madsen effete, as so often. Burrell promising and physical. Some games Dembele just gets bullied by the big boys. Needs to learn how to con fouls from Smyth the master. Ref was annoying and a bit of a homer, but of course we've known worse and it didn't affect the result. We looked pretty good for the 20 minutes we had a balanced 11 (i.e., once Esquerdinha and Varane came on, and before Celar came one). What a hit from Kieran. Chair worked really hard. Would love to see his heat map. We'll be ok if we can get anything like our first 11 playing regularly. [Post edited 16 Aug 19:26]

Just back - Watford reflections on 08:51 - Aug 18 by gazza1 | If this is the case then the Coach/Manager is a proper mug!!!! Nourry should, at most, request the coach/manager to play a certain way/system whatever you want to call it. He should have zero input into the team selection, team tactics, set pieces, dressing room stuff, fitness, and much more on the playing field. |
to be honest and id say that was part of the reason last season that certain players who were brought in last season were played when they shouldnt have been. it will be intresting on sat to see who survives in midfield , hopefully varanne is back alongside field if hes not and madson does start then ill be suppirsed if any fan unrest dosnt start way earlier than 30 mins

Just back - Watford reflections on 09:27 - Aug 18 by QPRSam | I was towards the back so must have been a minority as you say. Glad that wasn't heard otherwise but that was still vile I don't agree with the booing for the reasons you've stated here. It's a new season with a new manager, he needs time to implement his ideas. If fans can't handle losing a game of football, they should consider a different hobby or just go watch Chelsea. There were a few around me I was genuinely f*ckin concerned for. Can't be healthy |
Ah the go and watch Chelsea nonsense just because loyal fans are quite rightly fed up with the club The players and club have got off lightly with what we've witnessed over the last few years I feel for the manager as he isn't really to blame but this was always going to happen if we had a poor stay and all of it is the club's making
