Swansea has its first Reform councillor on 19:09 - Aug 18 with 931 views | SullutaCreturned | She defected from the tories. There should be an election now. These defections shouldn't be allowed without a vote to give or refure her a mandate. Looking around, Reform are making headway but with very few actual policies but lots of soundbites. They have also made promises in Wales they can never keep. It's worrying that so many seem certain to vote for them, not because of policies but just because Tory and Labour have been so useless. The political spectrum is shifting to the right, it's a protest party people are choosing when they go for Farage. My opinion, if we actually put reform in charge then it will make Boris Johnson look like the best leader this country has ever seen. He'll be Trump's puppet, his shadow like a faithful dog wagging his tail at his beloved master.

and isn't there enough t protest about. Maybe just maybe people of this country have had a bellyful of the lies, deceit, ineptitude, incompetence to make them turn from the usual suspects ,atm the UK is not a happy place to live and the thought of either Labour continuing in power or the Tories regaining it in the future is a frightening prospect. Something has to change and maybe Reform can be the party to be the one to give the establishment the much needed kick up the Aras it deserves.

But you can buy a football shirt to show support: You just have to ignore the Union Jack being upside down. And the white flag where an enormous fuss was made when the England football team did it. And the whole keeping football out of politics thing. [Post edited 19 Aug 9:04]

She wants to be on the Reform candidate list for the Senedd elections, they don't seem to have any other candidates so I suspect she'll be pickingup a MS salary in 8 months time.

Do you think Reform are any different? Haven't you noticed the quality of their candidates? How mnay have they kicked out, how mnay have had to leave because their past came back to haunt them? They are no better than the usual suspects. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/article/2024/may/24/reform-uk-forced-to-rem If you really want change vote for a local independent candidate, filling our parliaments with them is the only way to get change. And the 22 year old deputy leader of Leicestershire council has just been sacked too, 3 months in to his role! I'd assume Mrs O'Brien will be a candidate next May for Gower despite never being employed by anyone outside her family and calling for benefits claimants to be "put down". There's a kick up the arris and there's "out of the frying pan and into the fire!".
Swansea has its first Reform councillor on 17:05 - Aug 19 with 177 views | onehunglow | We live in a country which is being flooded by chances from God knows where , where Zpolice simply are to afraid to upset people, where court sentences are a joke, where Labour voters are supporting a chancellor who is and will continue to attack those who are easy to hit tax wise whilst the feckless feckwits are comforted by benefits because they breed to ensure they have that insurance We have rid ourselves of a feckless clown for a PM and replaced him with a limp wristed lawyer who Supports this carnage When a new party comes along , they frighten those who want to protect our borders , they are pilloried as far right or posh We truly are buggered Up arrow this folks as you know this is true
