Well, no, we should be continuing to look to develop players to sell on as long as we have replacements available and others lined up. That’s how we were successful in the past and it will help move towards being more self sustainable.
This isn’t about the new regime covering all the costs so we can continue to sign players with no return. It will also help to attract players who know they can then move on up the ladder - which again was a major factor in our glory years. |  |

East had an awesome game on Wednesday, other than having a pop at goal, he did everything else in an imperious manner, ably supported by Harvey Gilmour. When these 2 are allowed to get forward and doninate possession in the opponents half good things happen. |  |

Good point that. Would we get the true market value though as a non league club selling to the EFL? The three year plan is to be promoted back to the EFL, to do that we need to try to keep our best players. The Ogdens are prepared to fund that plan. |  | | |

If a club comes in with a suitably big enough offer which meets the valuation of all involved, we should and will sell. If not, we won’t get players signing new deals in the first place. | |

Yes, i hear you. Would you sell Mani before the end of this transfer window if the money was right? I dont think at this time we should sell any of our best players. This is part of the three year plan, its self defeating at this moment in time i think. The priority now is to get back into the EFL and kick start the academy, access extra funding. They probably see that as a financial gamble worth taking during these three years. You're right though, that is a blue print that has worked for us in the past. [Post edited 22 Aug 22:40]
