Rangers v Celtic on 08:34 - Sep 3 by SydneyRs | If we won it by having a better team that we'd have had without the cheating (the situation with Rangers for quite a few years) then it wouldn't be right to claim it in my view. You'd normally expect honours to be stripped in this situation. Happened to Melbourne Storm in the NRL here when they were caught breaching the salary cap. Had two premierships taken off them. Another club had to play an entire season for no points after they got caught (and also were demoted from first place to last the season before). Lance Armstrong was stripped of his tour de France wins. Athletes lose gold medals years after the event. Fans shouldn't get to "accept". If you've cheated to win things, you should lose those titles. Should have happened to Rangers and should happen to City if guilty. |
"Athletes lose gold medals years after the event" Evidenced by our 4x400m relay squad in the 1997 World Athletics championships recently getting their gold medals after the USA had been disqualified in 2009 after Pettigrew admitted to doping at the time the gold was won by them.

Rangers v Celtic on 08:04 - Sep 3 by stowmarketrange | If by some horrible cheating the same happened to us,would we not be able to claim our one and only trophy? Will Man City fans not accept the trophies they’ve won if they get done for financial doping? |
One and only trophy? Er … League Cup, 7 (SEVEN!) League Titles. 1 play off-winner. Ibiza Cup, Trofeo Bortolotti, DryWorld Cup, London Evening Standard 5-A-Side Trophy x (lost count), Premier League Cup - I could go on but I’ve got to get back to work.

Rangers v Celtic on 07:33 - Sep 3 by SydneyRs | Rangers were liquidated and expelled from the league due to years of corruption and deliberate financial cheating. It wasn't just unfortunate financial problems that struck some of those other clubs. They never paid their debts, just allowed the old club to die to avoid them. Somehow Rangers are still also claiming the trophies they cheated to win, so sympathy is in short supply. |
Yep. They were let off lightly. Cheated and prospered. Trophies should have been taken. But the "going for 55" thing was way of trying to prove they were the same club. They know they died but can't admit it

Indeed. They all changed their twitter pictures to the same "55" thing and constantly referenced it. All that did was show how insecure they are about the club's status. I remember asking some of them them why they didn't feel the need to do it after 54 (which was also a record at the time of course). But yes, how on earth they got found guilty of what they did over many years and did not have a single honour stripped. Corruption, pure and simple. Also very interesting how the number of penalties they get has dropped off a cliff since VAR arrived in Scotland.

Rangers v Celtic on 12:09 - Sep 2 by Northernr | Says he thinks they'll win that league within ten years as well, which like you say would be great to see. |
Definitely. Then the pain of 1965 and (especially) 1986 can finally be erased for Hearts fans. Would be wonderful. Apologies to QPR_Hibs.

Also this "most successful club in the world" stuff only surfaced the last few years unfortunately for them that pathetic troupe is gone aswell Imagine having the audacity and arrogance to call yourself the most successful club in the world when Real Madrid have won 15 European cups. Deluded club and fanbase.
