Not sure it would have been mega money or big salary off the payroll, but every bit helps, I guess.

Anyone see him play much? I thought he looked way below level against Plymouth.

I agree, I saw the show reels and you would think we had the next Chair here.

But at Plymouth, he was overawed. Still young at 20, and on modest wages, I am hoping we've snagged £1m for him, with a typical 20% sell-on.

I saw Talla play a lot for the DS where he looked very good. But when stepping up for the few senior games he played, he didn't look the same. Rio Ave have paid for his signature and they play in Portugal's Primeira Liga so someone rates him more than QPR does.

If I were conducting the negotiations I'd probably accept a low initial fee with higher additions for first team matches played, goals and assists, plus a % sell on fee. We aren't risking anything and he didn't cost us anything. Whatever we get now and going forward is a bonus without having to invest anything further. Sounds like good business to me given that we can't keep all our academy graduates just in case.

I didn't think he showed much in first team games compared to Sutton, Kolli, Lloyd and Esquerdinha etc.

What it also shows is that you work hard, and even if you don't make it into the QPR team, you still have a way forward as a career, as you can get a move, sometimes with better opportunities.

This, along with Eze, Kolli, Esq, and Morgan getting game time, Kelmen, Armstrong being sold too, makes it easier to hide the Richards' mistakes.

Mummy and Daddy take note, "our kid" will be developed at QPR and has the highest chance of going on to be a pro with us.

Which is almost zero for all clubs, as that's the nasty evil side of football. But we never mention that part, a bit like long-term head injuries.

"Send in the new gladiators".
