I have been saying this for a while now, if people vote Reform they are asking for USa style policies because Farage is Trumpian. His words are the language of division and hate. They sound fair enough after the decades of decay forced on us by two self serving, greedy "don't do as I do do as I say" politicians and yes, a good chunk of the Western world is going that way. It's not the way I want the Uk to go though.
We need to control immigration, we need to control the welfare state but I don't want us shifting so far right that Bojo starts to look like Jeremy Corbyn.

The Johnson governments main problem was sheer insouciance and a refusal to treat the electorate as adults
They let down every genuine “ working class” person who traditionally voted Conservative as they represented true working class ideals
Work hard, educate , plan your family and save and provide for their future by truly nurturing them
Working class isn’t planning a life on benefits
It also requires discipline starting from the top

Do you really think Jamie Raskin blew away Farage? I thought Raskin's intervention would have been more effective if he had said something about the issue of whether free speech is or isn't being eroded in the UK, rather than a series of questions about what Farage was doing for the rest of the day. Although I am not a big fan, I thought Farage's response worked quite well.
