It's coming together! Fair play to him for not panicking after Coventry.

Never knowingly right.

Great interview, love how he gives a special mention to Kolli as well.

Have to say I'm really warming to him.

Seems like a decent bloke, and I enjoy his slight eccentricity - works well at Rangers!

Also liked how he talked about the Stoke game at the end. Not just platitudes, he reeled off a few specifics on how they play. I learned something!

I like him too, especially the little french noises he throws in, like at 5.35

100%, my thoughts exactly. Really liking the guy and seems a genuinely nice bloke as well

It will be interesting next week because Stoke have two flying wingers and play a very similar style of football. Will be interesting to see how he sets up to counter their speed on the wing as well.

Never knowingly right.

Sounds like a fit Smyth would be useful

Dare i say it, but for the first time in god knows how long, we have real squad depth. The bench looks packed and that's without Illias and Poku.

I'm warming to him too, and his very promising squad. On the subject of the latter, is this now a better squad than Warburton had when his star was at its shiniest? (I don't mean that in a disrespectful way - far from it.)

I have thought this quietly for quite some time.

The squad depth is deep and top players with proven quality are at times going to be atruggling to even get a place on the bench.

I am like most. I dont want to completely open up about the possibilities of this group of players, but safe to say, i seriously don't think we will have the troubles of last few seasons.

I think the transfer window we had, has been close to our best window for decades. And this will wind some up but Belk and Nourry, i believe this is Belks domain but i feel this is where Nourry' nouse comes in. If we lose seven one, its all on Christian, but if we win two games consecutively and find goals plentiful, its always anyone to praise apart from Nourry.

Think the managers quiet strength and likability, together with a definite steeliness.to battle, will bring us all a long way..

Surprising that judging a new manager after 3 games, which most of us did, without a finalised team, was kneejerkly premature

He obviously knows what he’s doing and I think the variety shown so far this season is really impressive

Looking forward to seeing what he can do with our best squad in ages

Importantly the transfer window is now closed, and the manager knows exactly what squad he has to deal with and how best to deploy the players at his disposal.

I still find it ridiculous the transfer window doesn't shut as soon as the season starts, but I suppose Sky and the rest of the media wouldn't be happy with that...

I really like that he saw those first few games and on the back of some of those performances last season as well he didn't hang around and has changed how ee play, more direct when needed, clear your lines don't lose the ball in your own penalty area, should be obvious but ook far too long to change it last season and swicthing so early will help us.

Feels a lot like Warbs first season, have a good squad with options and an actual goal threat

As a direct contrast in managerial styles, look at the abject Amorim at ManUre, who, after their loss yesterday "doubled down on his commitment to his controversial 3-4-3 system, saying he will not change and that for a different philosophy you have to "change the man"."

I said it elsewhere (possibly on RFI), but I think it's incredible that we have attracted two eloquent, intelligent football coaches in row. Surely we have to tip the hat to the board for that? As for JS, I really like him too, and his willingness to be flexible is a breath of fresh air in a current world of people like Amorim or Russell Martin who seem intractably welded to one style of play. Let's hope he stays and builds a championship winning side to savour.

Sitting on a massive payout for getting the sack can encourage that hardheaded attitude in a manager..

he's desperate for the sack isn't he and that big payoff, he can't do much more to force their hand. I quite like it

Yeah just enjoying Manure being sh1t, for as long as possible!

Our youngest is 9 years old and still can't get his head around the fact they used to be a successful club.

Great turnaround which isn't a surprise given the gaffer has been given time to review the existing players, finalise the squad with the transfer window, have players coming back from injury / get to full fitness and adjust tactics.

I won't dig out names but amazing to see some of the most prominent posters in the hall of shame thread "Le Shrug" and other adjacents go completely AWOL. Being educated that it was a car crash season 3 weeks before the end of the transfer window, just crazy.

Not getting carried away and saying we'll go up but... we have an obviously very smart and adaptable coach which seems to be a rarity these days. One of the most dangerous attacks we've had in recent memory with Kone Burrell Saito Vale Dembele with Poku Chair Smyth to come back. It's exciting times and hopefully many more great days out like we had at Wrexham on Saturday

Can't beat Selles though. 6 games in to a 3 year deal. Lovely jubbly..
