Well today he was a repeat of Wednesday, he did some running around, he seemed to be more keen on backing into players and not watching the ball so he barely won a header or kept possession and he was zero goal threat.
Put in context, we were saying similar poor things about Vipotnik last season. Maybe he'll improve but a Celtic fan was laughing at us paying 6 million for him. Told me it was a massive waste of money and questioned how Idah jad ever made it this far as a footballer. |  | | |

It’s far more difficult for Idah, he has only started one game and has a second appearance off the bench. It looked like Sheehan has a different plant for him than when Vipotnik is on the pitch. Yesterday the flanks were toothless in the second half, did nothing, created nothing, had no energy or ideas so a blank day for Idah and overall is no surprise. I think the figures are about 1.75M to date if you base the way the Swans do their business on some leaked figures this summer. Some of the remaining add ons Idah will never reach, whatever the sum agreed 6M is the ceiling payment if everything in his contract comes to fruition. I doubt Celtic will get €4.5M in total unless he scores a whole load of goals and the Swans get promoted. And that will rely on him being at the club for a few years. There will also be a healthy sell on fee but that only kicks in if he is sold for more than he was purchased for.
That’s just the very basics.

Was he ready for inclusion in the team?
Hasn't been effective in any of the three games yet but Benson and Samuel-Smith have although Samuel-Smith cramped up well before the end of game similar to Casey who took the third game to be able to play the 90mins. [Post edited 22 Sep 13:55]

I will add as well that the 15M over his contract is only if you believe he’s on £40k a week which is incorrect, he is on less than half of that. The only way a website or journalist can find out these things is with direct contact with people who actually know the figures and more importantly are happy through a trusting relationship to disclose them 😉 | |
