Clear that things looked a lot more positive today
Thought the defence looked solid and both Wood and quarshie gave us some decisiveness in the air
Edwards played well but think Jelert would be better there
Be interesting to see what Still does Tuesday, will he rest players after two games?
Thought he made the wrong subs today too
AA worked his socks off

Agreed.
Armstrong was our best player today. Superb finish and threat all game.
We miss Che Adams so much .

It was a better performance today. It was good that WS picked a better team today and he wasn't afraid to make those bold decisons. But we really needed a win. It won't be so bad if we win at Sheffield Utd Tuesday, but it will be a tough game. They got their first win today under Wilder and he will be on a mission to get his first home win.

They knew they had to perform today to avoid a toxic atmosphere. Will they work as hard as they did today, away from home on Tuesday evening, away from the pressure of the home fans? I'm not sure.

Overall, there is still something missing. We don't have that killer instinct to win games. It's not enough. We still had to huff and puff, they hit the post, much more possession and intent, but nobody was convinced we would win. We missed sitters, bad goal to concede but it's not convinced me at all that we will start winning games 2 or 3 nil or winning at all. We just aren't fierce or ruthless enough.

Two good performances on the trot and the defence is looking good . Wood really impresses me . Its obvious what we’re missing and everyone knows it , A decent striker and we’ve all been saying it for years now. .

Let’s hope Armstrong can go on a goalscoring run, he’s got an excellent record in this league for us and Blackburn. The midfield need to chip in with goals. Azaz has done it for Boro needs to do it for us .

Poll: Would you take an Fa Cup win if it meant relegation to the championship ?

Agree, definitely improved, especially at the back, though they did get in behind us a few times. Unlucky with the goal I thought. Also found Still's subs a bit weird again. Fellows was having a good game. I can only assume perhaps he is not 100% match fit. A mention for Ross Stewart also who i noticed dropped deep a lot to battle and win balls, hold up play, keep possession and make some good passes.

Unlikely we are going to finish top six this season, but I feel much more confident now that this team is capable of putting a decent run together that may see them break into the play off mix up. Despite a slow start, we are still not that far off a play off place. Tuesday is a big one. I think I would take a draw there for stability.

Agree with Stewart he put in a shift and from where I sit looked like he should have had a penalty
I am not sure exactly why AA plays wide all the time when we have endless wingers
The ref again was poor
I do hope Still doesnt bring the usual suspects back on Tuesday

2 or 3 wins would put us near the play off positions,it really is that tight.

It's obvious why AA plays wide. He's been tried at centre forward and he can't do it (no criticism of him, it's just not his position). WS doesn't play with a second striker, so if he's in the team he has to play wide.
