Questions 16:59 - Oct 4 with 816 viewssaint22

I really want to back Still but after refreshing the team and making some big, good choices in wood and Quarshie he now seems to me making odd ones
No Fellows today was a mistake, Downs on instead of Archer? No Robinson? Derby were there for the taking but we dropped off after taking the lead
Not convinced and the table doesn’t lie
We need to start winning consistently and soon AF

Unconvincing is the word after 9 league matches.

Still is a boring, monotone, quietly spoken soul, which is reflected on the pitch. I cant see, on the whole that these players are being motivated to win games. We are the highest spenders in the league,.along with a few others. He's inexperienced as a manager and never played the game. 16th in the table. I know people say give him a chance, ok.

But I can't help thinking what I thought from the start. The two wins we have had have been lucky and unconvincing. Ofcourse I could be wrong, but gut feeling is the same feeling I had from the very start. If the manager bores me, I can assume he bores the players and it looks like that on the pitch. Fellows and Azaz are doing nothing, two players who the best in the championship last season. Again, Still isn't managing them properly. We should be doing so much better.

Yep. Nine league games now & we've won just two.

For a side tipped to do very well this season, I've yet to be convinced we are anything other than very ordinary.

Still won’t lose many but I can’t see him winning many either.

You know the jury's still out when the fans still fail to sing the manager's name...

And Pompey sit above us in the table. Bournemouth flying high in the PL.

It's just a load of sh!t for such a famous old club like ours.

I don’t think he knows what he’s doing.

A ten minute chat with Jamie Carragher got him the job.

I despair of the total idiots running our club.

“ Of course I could be wrong”

I would be absolutely delighted to tell you that you are wrong but all the evidence suggests that you aren’t.

You and I called it from the moment he was appointed:-

1. He’s young.
2. He’s never played professional football.
3. He’s never managed a club in any UK league.

His biggest problem though is that he was daft enough to apply for and accept an opportunity with Sports Republic.

Unfortunately for him I expect that he will soon be gone.

Unfortunately for us I expect that Sports Republic won’t be.

And it's personality too. I wanted Lampard or Danny Rohl because they have personality, as well as the successful playing and managerial experience at a high level. We all loved Strachan. An enthusiastic manager usually gets the players motivated on the pitch.

WS may in the future turn out to be a good manager but you don’t recruit to the most senior position in any organisation based on potential. You appoint on previous experience and a proven track record in a similar job at the same level.
