Thierry Small. 15:46 - Oct 8 with 945 views | felly1 | We paid Everton 5m for him. Was very highly regarded full/wing back /winger 1 poor appearance against Coventry in the FA cup and that was the last we saw of him. 60 odd games for Nathan Jones's promotion winning Charlton side saw him move to Preston who are currently 4th. 9 games . 16pts. He's scored 2 in his last 2 games and has been called up for the England 21s squad. Why can't we manage these players better when they clearly have lots of potential.

Thierry Small. on 18:32 - Oct 8 with 703 views | saintmark1976 | Same with Kevin Danso. Remember him ? A centre half who Ralph thought it a good idea to play as a full back at home against Bournemouth. He got hooked at half time and disappeared from Saints only to recently be worth £21 million when Spurs bought him from Lens. How do we manage to constantly do it ? I’ve no idea and suspect that Sports Republic and their utterly hapless employees haven’t either. Any happy clappers want to let us in to the secret?

Was Danso not pre-Sports Republic? I think that was on Hassenhutl. Thierry Small has not had a career in the higher Leagues so I’m not sure we have lost a lot by letting him go.

We only had Danso on loan for a season - with an option to buy He was signed mainly as cover at CB He was a CB Ralph played him mainly at RB Ralph only played him 6 times in the league and a few in the cup He wasn't very good at RB He wasn't really very good at defending He got sent off He didn't do enough to justify us buying him, so he was sent back This was all 5 1/2 years ago. Different players mature and improve at different rates. He was definitely not worth keeping after his season on loan with js

Not sure why you think he has an attitude problem by playing in L1 promotion winning team Now scoring goals for Preston and an England 21 call up to boot. I just remember he was a highly rated young player that Everton wanted to keep and we were prepared to pay 5m for him in 2022. He left us for nothing and is now back on track in his career. It's just a shame that weren't able to nurture his talent as he may have been a real asset at this level. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He's still only 19 and he's just broken into the England U20 team. I liked what I saw of him here. We'll see how his career develops. We used to see youngsters play here for a couple of seasons and they were at least 20 when they were sold; nowadays, we're lucky if they start a couple of games before they're sold, in their teens, to the first club that makes an offer for them.
