The last transfer window 17:08 - Oct 8 with 743 views | Whiterockin | Was it as good as many of us thought. Last Saturday only two of the starting 11 were not with us last season, Burgess and Stamenic both excellent signings in my opinion. I know it takes time to integrate players but many were with us very early in the window. Widell came in the previous window but was loaned back so was here for pre season and doesn't seem to feature. Galbraith for me is the pick of the crop and I would say was our best buy. Santos has been injured do we can't judge. Wales doesn't feature and Farman is back up to the back up. Idah the jury is still out as far as I'm concerned. Inoussa and Yalcouye are very talented but again not utilised much. Casey and Samuels-Smith look to be bench players and cover for injuries and Benson blows hot and cold in the little game time he has had. So I ask the question has our recruitment department performed well or flattered to decieve. [Post edited 8 Oct 17:44]

Stamenic could be a massive signing if used properly and that means playing Galbraith and Franco, that seems the best mix in midfield. Personally I'd start with Inoussa and benson too, give them a full game and see what happens. If things are going well I'd take the worst midfielder of and try Idah AND Vipotnik together.
The last transfer window on 17:21 - Oct 8 with 717 views | Dr_Winston | I think we have overall improved the squad and should have enough quality for a concerted playoff campaign at the least. If the division remains as utterly inconsistent as it is maybe more, although that would be a much longer shot. Sheehan needs to get to grips with things though. His preferred midfield setup doesn't provide enough creativity through the middle, and when he did change it up he completely ballsed the point of it by picking Cullen to be the creator. A couple of maddening blind spots with him because overall I think he's capable. Just a bit too rigid in his thinking.

The last transfer window on 18:28 - Oct 8 with 634 views | KeithHaynes | Had we just signed Galbraith alone we should be happy. I think the expectation is far too high at this moment in time. The work the club has done has been nothing short of remarkable both behind the scenes with name investors and bringing players in this summer. Some people will complain, but we’ve played nine league games. For me it hasn’t been that enthralling this season especially when up against the sides who are more favourite for the top six. But having supported the Swans for a few years, I can see more hope now than I have for at least a decade. As for some of our supporters, thank god we can still pick and choose who we have dialogue with and class as friends. Reality checks are free.

Me and you are very different Vive le difference Personally I’d rather exchange views with someone who views matters differently The last thing I want is a nodding dog looking at me We are utterly screwed if we only discourse with those with whom we agree I’m rather taken aback but this post of yours and others too Keith but that’s fine by me The only positive in life is that we positively KNOW nothing Anyone can let us down It’s what human beings do and why I prefer dogs to humans , seriously You’ve got your views and perspective but never ever think you ate necessarily correct We got a lot of players in and some have hardly had a kick on anger The future? Well , that’s uncertain , we might not have one , we only have now and right now , we are not right on the pitch Thanks

I can see the logic in if we had signed Galbraith alone we should be happy, but we didn't we signed 9 more who currently [apart from Stamenic and Burgess who started on Saturday] are not making a significant difference. With Galbraith we signed the stand out player of the season in league one, did we really need the statistics based recruitment team to source him.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

If our current points total continued through the season we would have 61 points. I think we will improve but that's not the question asked on the thread. Was the window a good window or not, I am yet to be convinced that the last window was actually as good as it was bigged up to be.

The question is why arent they making a difference? Where is Widdell? Same age as Inoussa similar playing experience yet Widdell is being eased in whilst Inoussa is bexoming a first team regular

The last transfer window on 20:56 - Oct 8 with 416 views | jack247 | The window was astonishing in my view. Most summers since relegation, we’ve weakened the squad both in terms of selling our best players and replacing cheaply and thinning out squad depth. We did the absolute opposite this time. I think what’s blurring it slightly is that Sheehan isn’t getting us much out of this group as he did with a weaker squad last season (yet!) I think he’ll get it right sooner or later and even if he doesn’t, that doesn’t make it a bad window. He’s got the resources to significantly improve on last season and for me that’s the sign of a great window.

Agreed, best window in years. The squad looks so much better than last season.
