The question on every football fans lips...

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
Poll: Are fans more annoyed losing or not playing Henderson centre forward?

We are 5/4 favorites pretty much across the boards with all the bookies on Oddschecker....I took us at 7/1 to win the league before the season started...Long way to go though....

Poll: Hill in or out? 2nd referendum.....

Yes - the weight of history is against us. Being the first Rochdale AFC team to win a league title. Let's hope we've learnt from the pressure of the Spennymoor and Southend games last season and what it takes to get over the line.

To be honest, we're seeing a different animal this season, the wins at Carlisle and FGR prove that. We are churning wins out and when we field what most people percieve to be our strongest team nobody has beaten us yet. History is irrelevant, we are now in the non league but with a team that would easily compete in the EFL. The players have been together a long time and are well coached in a style of play that wins a lot of matches. We now have belief and the players know that if they stick to the process we can beat anybody. If pressure was a factor we wouldn't have won at Carlisle and FGR, both those games should have seen us score at least four goals in each.

I have to say, however, I’m slightly less confident now Carlisle have signed Conn-Clarke, probably the best player in the division.

If we achieve promotion then Jim will be the first manager of Rochdale to either

a) win a title or
b) win at Wembley

Either achievement would be amazing, no chickens counted by me.

Poll: DF in or out

Maybe not weeks ago but yeah in some quarters at the end of last season it was. Over the summer changes in personal and now to attitude and playing style things are going very well, so far. Whats your point?

A manager that will be improving with two trusted coaches alongside him, not forgetting Lillis and valuable input from Hendo. That's some coaching set up when you look at it. Our play is definitely evolving, a first time pass instead of two touches, a better awareness, moving the ball quicker. That first time pass is the key to opening up defences. All of those elements were on display at FGR and that was in one of the toughest away fixtures we will have this season. You can see that what is being worked on at the training ground is manifesting itself on matchday, that's taken time but it's now evident ( credit to McNulty for that process) . If we can improve our finishing and increase the tempo of our play a notch higher we will be even better. Keep striving for improvement everyday.

Just abouts everyone was greatly frustrated and critical after the Brackley game and a lot of the old feelings over his management returned but I don’t think there were many if any cries for him to go.

You would think one player doesn't make a team, but look at us. Without Mani, I think our season would be a different story.

We were discussing in the bar pre-match..Mani D, Rodney, Bird would be a dream ticket up front if the Ogden family could make it happen. Bird was yet again a unused sub in Salfords defeat yesterday.

Robbie Savage has let himself go, looking at that video...

You mean you STILL haven't worked out why some posts get down-ticked?
